I don’t know about you, but all throughout highschool and college, and then in my early twenties, I always had such a hard time spending more than $30 on a top or sweater. If I spent $35 it was a big deal. I definitely still tend to be a bargain-hunter, but I knew as soon as I tried this turtleneck sweater on, I had to have it. (Still a great price! But, over $30 haha!).
The older I get (will be 26 in March!!) the more I’m starting to value “cost per wear” vs how much the top is or the jeans are. So, if I know I will get a ton of use out of this pale pink turtleneck sweater (ie: date nights, errands, sunday brunch, church…) then in my mind, it’s worth the $78. Vs if I bought a sweater for $30 that I wouldn’t wear as much and that wouldn’t last as long. Does that make sense?
The reason I love this turtleneck sweater is because it’s super soft, it’s lightweight, and it’s long, but not too oversized. So it’s super flattering! I also love that it’s longer in the back, and would pair great with leather leggings as well as jeans!
What are some pieces that were maybe a bigger purchase than your usual $30 top that you’re so happy you made?!
