Hi! I’m Lauren!
I’m SO glad you’re here and excited to let you get to know me a little better!
I was born & raised in Dallas, TX and have loved clothes ever since I can remember (it’s true: ask my mom!). I went to Baylor University (sic ’em bears!) and majored in Apparel Merchandising, and minored in Business Administration. I did an internship in NYC in the Pink Tartan showroom before graduating college. After college, I got a job at Neiman Marcus Direct and worked as an assistant buyer in the Fine Apparel buying office!
Although I loved my job at Neiman’s, I had an overwhelming desire to find a creative way to merge my two greatest passions – my relationship with Jesus and my love of fashion – into a self-sustaining career. My hope was to share these passions in a way that would make a real difference to women that would one day become like family to me through the medium of this blog + social media. I wanted to create a place that would allow me to be open about my Christian faith, with the hope of encouraging other women with their own. And I wanted the freedom to share on trend fashion and inspirational outfits that were true to me and my style, yet also flatter women of all body types.I knew that I wanted to encourage women in their relationship with the Lord, as well as be a resource to help simplify their lives on the fashion front. Although I wasn’t sure how to make these things happen, I realized I needed to leave the corporate retail world behind, and become my own boss.
To make a long story short, I took a leap of faith and launched my website in October 2015. I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved that blogging allowed me to help women – help women put together an outfit they felt amazing in, helped make shopping EASY for a busy working mom. Blogging gave me a platform to share my favorite devotionals or how God was speaking to me, in hopes that it would encourage someone reading my blog. It gave me an opportunity to share skincare products that have transformed my skin, in hopes that it would also help improve someone else’s skin!
Today
Fast forward about 4 years, to now where being an “influencer” is now my full time job and one of my greatest joys. It means the world to me that you guys choose to keep up with my life, my workouts, my family, etc! I LOVE the community that we have built here and my greatest hope is that my platform – my blog + social media channels, encourages and inspires you in some way. I hope that when you leave this website or my instagram you feel inspired to get outside and get a workout in, or wash your face tonight, or spend time with Jesus in the morning. And I hope that above all, you know that no matter what you are wearing or how great your skin looks, you are wholly and perfectly loved by Jesus Christ and THAT is where ultimate joy and security lies.

I married my best friend and the love of my life, Michael, in March of 2014. We are both native Dallasites but moved to Boulder, CO in 2017 so Michael could get his MBA. We think Boulder is the most amazing + beautiful place you could choose to live in the United States, and if we could convince our families to move here, we would never leave! We have a golden retriever named Beau and I am a new momma to our sweet Shiloh Faith! Being a mom has been God’s greatest gift to me and I feel so blessed that he gave us Shiloh! I love running + fitness, a good cheeseboard, traveling, and I could have ice cream 7 nights a week.
