Sometimes, clothes are just clothes and they’re nothing to get excited about. And then sometimes you add something to your wardrobe that makes you want to jump up and down and wear it 5 days a week and tell the world about it because you love it so much! Or, is that just me, and that’s why I have a fashion blog?! Regardless – that is exactly how I feel about this striped cardigan and these perforated booties.
You know those days when you don’t feel like dressing up or trying too hard, but you don’t want to leave the house looking like a scrub? (Basically, story of my life). This striped cardigan is perfect for those days. You can throw it on with workout tights and sneakers for running errands, or put it on with a tee and skinny jeans like I did here for meeting girlfriends for lunch. The material is thick yet super soft so it’s perfect for mild winter days in Dallas, and will also transition perfectly into spring!
Now, let’s talk about these booties. I was on the hunt for a flat pair of booties that would work well with skinny jeans, but weren’t too “wintery”. I love that because these are perforated, I can also wear them into the spring with white jeans or even cut-off shorts!

Lauren, your style is amazing! I’ve been following for some time but unfortunately I’m on a tight budget just coming out of college and trying to upgrade to a more professional wardrobe. Do you have any suggestions of someone I can follow that is, for lack of a better word, more on the cheap side?

hey girl! I totally understand being on a tight budget. this look was more of a “splurge” for me, but in general I try and post pretty budget-friendly stuff! if you follow me on instagram alot of what I post is under $50 :). I’ll try and do more budget friendly posts on the blog too!
