White Nike sneakers | Drybar dry shampoo (best dry shampoo!) | Drybar dry conditioner | Mini detangling brush | G2G Protein bar | Advocare meal replacement shake

Okay I’m going to be honest with ya’ll, and hope it doesn’t gross you out. I, Lauren Sims, despise washing my hair. Okay, the washing part isn’t so bad but I seriously get exhausted just thinking about the entire getting ready process! I definitely shower/wash my body everyday, and today I’m sharing my secret with you on how I get away with not washing my hair everyday.

So I’m currently training for a half marathon (it’s the ASICS Vine Body and Sole half in Napa! More on that soon!). Since I do so much cardio, finding the best dry shampoo was an absolute must for me. I usually workout 5-6 days a week and washing/styling my hair that many times is just not possible (and it’s also not good for your hair to wash it that much).

Most days I have to go straight from the gym to either running errands, a coffee meeting, or lunch date, so here are the items that help me get ready on the go, in under half an hour!

  • Drybar dry shampoo – First thing’s first: this is hands down the best dry shampoo I have ever used. Dry shampoo is SO hit or miss! It either makes your hair feel stale and gross, or super refreshed and texturized, and the latter is exactly what the drybar dry shampoo will do for your hair. After I workout and rinse off, I spray this in my hair, let it soak in for a few minutes, and then shake out/run my fingers through my hair. The reason I think it’s the best dry shampoo is because it gives my hair volume, and somehow actually makes it feel super clean.
  • Drybar dry conditioner – this is the first time I’ve ever tried a dry conditioner and I love it! It provides the benefits of a conditioner without the need to wet hair and blow dry afterwards. Now that I’ve used a dry conditioner it makes me wonder why I never realized how necessary this is!
  • Mini detangler brush – I’m obsessed with this little brush! It’s the perfect size to throw in a gym or travel bag, yet it’s super effective in getting rid of tangles, in a way that’s not damaging to your hair. (Drybar recently came out with a whole “extend your blowout” package that has all of these products in it in travel size + a “morning after” shower cap! So perfect!)
  • PROTEIN! It’s so important to fuel your body right after a work out. My current favorite protein sources are the G2G protein bars, and Advocare meal replacement shakes (depending on how hungry I am, or if I’m going to breakfast afterwards!). Both are so delicious (like, will satisfy your sweet tooth), and so good for you!

Do you have any tips for getting ready fast? I’d love to hear them, and totally recommend these drybar products (as well as this AMAZING texturing spray! It’s a must-have and something I use every time I style my hair!)

xo Lauren
