There are a few events I count down to every year: my birthday, Christmas…and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you follow a lot of other fashion bloggers, this is a time in July (early access to the sale starts on the 14th!) where your instagram feed is probably blowing up with sale round-ups and tons of posts about this incredible sale. Why? Because it’s that awesome, and in case you’re not already familiar with this sale, I want to explain to you exactly what it is, and why it’s so great!
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
This is Nordstrom’s biggest event of the year where they release new fall merchandise at a discounted price for a limited amount of time. You can shop brand new arrivals from top brands and designers (think Rebecca Minkoff handbags, Tory Burch boots, Kendra Scott jewelry) at super sale prices. Sure, alot of retailers do massive sales every year, but this is one of the only sales (that I know of) where you’re able to shop new merchandise at a seriously discounted price.
Why is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale such a big deal?
This sale is the perfect time to add some new staples to your Fall wardrobe at a majorly discounted price. Maybe you’ve always wanted a pair of Tory Burch riding boots but haven’t been able to spring for them because of the price. Now is the time to do it! Or if you didn’t get a faux fur vest last Fall you loved, I’m sure there will be one (or several) included in the #NSale that you can get at a major discount! What are the dates I need to know?
Early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale starts on July 14th. If you are a Nordstrom card holder (either credit or debit) you get to shop the sale a week earlier than everyone else (early access of July 14th-21st). This is huge because the best products on the anniversary sale usually sell out pretty fast (Tory Burch riding boots and flats, suede booties, faux fur vests…these are some of the things that are first to go)! If you want to get early access to the sale, you can sign up for a Nordstrom credit card here. (Personally I’m a Nordstrom card holder and absolutely love it. It’s a great credit card to have with lots of benefits!). The sale opens to the public on July 22nd, and prices go back up on August 8th.
How should I prepare for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Sales like this kind of overwhelm me – there’s so much merchandise, and so many sales. Make sure to shop smart by going through your Fall wardrobe and seeing what you need. How are your black leggings holding up from last Fall? Is your wardrobe missing a basic faux fur vest? How’s your suede bootie collection looking? Make a mental (or physical!) list of things you need to spruce up your Fall wardrobe, and then go through the #NSale with those things in mind!
What am I personally most excited about for this sale?
After going through the catalog multiple times, I am definitely planning on adding some new denim to my wardrobe. AG Jeans, Rag & Bone, and Current Elliot are all included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I can’t wait to see what the sales on those jeans are like! Also will definitely be looking at some suede booties and over-the-knee boots, as well as sneakers!
