One of my favorite things about summer is all of the weekend getaways: trips to the lake, a spontaneous trip to the West coast, weekends in Austin with friends…so fun! I wanted to do a little round-up for you guys of some of my weekend getaway packing essentials. These products below are pretty much in my suitcase regardless of what trip I’m going on!

First let’s talk about taking care of your skin. This tinted moisturizer has just the right amount of coverage for summer trips AND it has SPF in it! So your skin looks even, without looking like you’ve caked on foundation. One thing we often forget to take care of when we’re in the sun is our lips, and having sunburnt lips is seriously the worst. I’m obsessed with this sugar lip treatment in nude (you’ve probably seen me post about it 100 times). It also has SPF in it so you’re protecting your lips from the sun, moisturizing them, and giving them just the right amount of color!
It’s also super important to take care of your hair on these weekend getaway trips! Lots of time in the sun or pool can definitely dry your hair out. I love this Oribe nourishing hair oil both for weekend getaways and also for everyday life. It helps prevent your hair from damage, seals split ends, and provides the necessary moisture your hair needs, without making it greasy! Another hair necessity for me is this Oribe dry texturizing spray. This is definitely one of my weekend getaway packing essentials because it’s a hair spray, texturizing spray, and dry shampoo all in one! If you curl your hair for dinner one night, this spray gives your curls that perfect tousled look. If you wake up the next morning and just need a little “oomph” or volume to your hair, this spray does the trick as well. Such a good purchase!
When it comes to clothes, simplicity is key. A great denim jacket and a wrinkle-proof dress are definitely two of my weekend getaway packing essentials! Cut-off denim shorts are a must because you can pair them with tons of tops, and wear them multiple times throughout the weekend! This pair in particular is my personal favorite.
