floral boho top (wearing size XS) | denim shorts (similar here) | tortoise sunglasses | tassel earrings | leather shoulder bag | suede booties (similar here and here)
I originally had another post planned for today, but love this floral boho top way too much to wait another day to post it! I love that it’s a basic top that’s super easy to wear anywhere and everywhere…but it also has such a feminine and boho vibe to it. I love the light beige floral pattern, but also really want it in the olive green color! This floral boho top looks adorable under a camel cardigan and has a super loose/easy fit to it. It’ll be a favorite of mine throughout the fall season – I can tell already!
If you follow me on instagram or snapchat, you were probably victim to my overload of photos from my weekend get away at The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, CO. We were only there Friday-Sunday, but y’all this trip was so good for the soul. Not only was the resort to die for beautiful, and I would highly recommend it for a honeymoon, girls trip, or family trip there FOR SURE, but I also found myself feeling so inspired and refreshed there.
Whether you are a business owner, stay at home mom, blogger, college student…whatever stage of life you might be in, I cannot put into words how important it is to stay inspired. For me personally…it can be so easy to get caught up in my everyday to-do lists of e-mails, shooting outfits, editing photos, making collages, etc and I can so easily lose sight of why I started blogging in the first place. When I get into these “hamster wheel” cycles, I forget about how important it is to set goals for yourself, and work for something bigger than your day-to-day duties.
When we were in Colorado, surrounded by gorgeous mountains and drinking in the crisp mountain air, I felt so inspired. Inspired to be the best blogger I can be – to create content for y’all that is sincere and genuine and helpful and inspiring. I felt inspired and reminded to continue to look to Christ for my significance and my security…not to other people’s opinions of me (and my blog), or how many likes I get on instagram. I felt inspired to maintain a positive outlook, a joyful heart, and grateful spirit even when I feel stressed or overwhelmed. Something about being in the mountains, being in the beauty of God’s creation, just set my heart on fire all over again and left me feeling so refreshed and excited for where the Lord has me right now.
So, I say all that to encourage you guys to find what inspires you. For me, it’s absolutely God’s creation – the mountains, the ocean, and getting away from the noise of the city (and going for beautiful runs in this creation!). I’m also inspired by being around other creative people who love the Lord, beautiful music, and just taking time to totally unplug.
I encourage y’all to find what inspires you, and make an effort to put yourself in those situations, or around those people as much as possible. Try and daily ask the Lord to inspire you and give you a desire to be the best ____ that you can be – the best mom, wife, sister, lawyer, nurse…whatever He has called you to do. To walk in that roll with your whole heart, striving to stay joyful and inspired every step of the way.
