I am such a sucker for a simple, classic, jeans-and-a-white-top look. I was talking to a friend recently saying part of me dreads packing for fashion week, because my go-to outfit is comfortable jeans, an oversized top, and booties. Sure, I love to dress up, but I also think having great, classic pieces in your wardrobe is so important! So, in case you currently despise your wardrobe for the upcoming Fall season, or just want to make some tweaks…today I want to share some great Fall staples that I think any wardrobe should have!
First of all…these jeans that I wear ALL the time (my favorite brand of denim). I can’t recommend them enough for this coming Fall season, and I just saw this morning that they’re on sale! A few other great pair of denim that I’d recommend adding to your wardrobe for Fall (that will last you years to come):
Finding the perfect white top that’s not too dressy or too casual or too boring is no easy task. I LOVE this white tassel top because it’s feminine and flattering and slightly boho with the little tassels, but you could still easily wear this top to work! Having a few great white tops in your wardrobe for Fall is key. They look chic on their own, but adorable under cardigans or denim jackets as well. A few of my current faves:
Obviously a great pair of booties is crucial for Fall, but I’m coming to realize how important it is to have what I call an “in-between” shoe. In Texas it stays hot until end of September usually so sometimes booties just aren’t an option. I think having a sandal that can transition to Fall is so important, and you will get SO much use out of them! I love that the suede trend from summer will definitely be carried into Fall. Last but not least, I realized last year how important it is to have a great military jacket in your wardrobe. It’s one you will bring on airplanes, throw on over a swing dress at dinner, and looks adorable with jeans. I have this Madewell jacket and feel so cool everytime I wear it haha, I’m not exactly sure why. It’s just one of those pieces for me! Other great military jackets for fall:
