If you follow me on snapchat, you know I’ve recently become obsessed with / addicted to face masques. I used to do them maybe once in a blue moon on a “pampering night”, when Michael was out of town or something, but now I do a face masque probably twice a week and I LOVE it. Not only is it just fun/refreshing, but I can tell my skin has improved so much from doing face masques regularly. So, today I wanted to share with you what I think are the best face masques! I have 3 favorites, and a couple on my list that I want to try!
Deep Pore Cleansing Masque by Kiehl’s
First up, this deep pore cleansing masque by kiehl’s. The name says it all – your pores will feel so deeply cleansed after leaving this masque on for 10 minutes. This masque is super cleansing, and helps gets rid of debris and dead skin cells that clog your pores and leave your skin looking dull. My skin feels so soft after using this masque and I’ve noticed a huge improvements with breakouts after I started using this once a week. If you struggle with occasional breakouts or clogged pores, this masque is definitely for you. It’s also less than $30, which is pretty amazing for such an effective masque.
Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask by Fresh
I just got this Vitamin Nectar mask a little over a week ago and was really intrigued from the moment I saw ‘vitamin nectar’ in the name. First of all, this mask smells AMAZING. Super fresh and light and rejuvenating – it’s made from 50% real crushed fruits! When you put this mask on, it doesn’t look like your traditional face mask (like the picture above of me using the kiehl’s mask). It has more of a jam-like texture. Why I love this mask: it gives you an instant glow. It’s formulated with a vitamin-fruit complex to give you the softest and smoothest skin. I really felt like I was glowing after I used this mask one time!
Exfoliating Treatment Masque by Tula (get 25% off with code “LAUREN25”)
Out of all three face masks, I’ve been using this exfoliating masque by Tula the longest. This one definitely looks like your traditional face masque when you put it on, and it’s REALLY helpful with clearing and preventing breakouts. This masque uses lactic acid and Bentonite clay to peel away impurities, dead skin, and debris. All of Tula’s products also use probiotic technology, which will leave your skin nourished and balance. I would say this masque is pretty similar to the Kiehl’s one I mentioned above, but probably a little bit more intense (because of the exfoliating factor). If you struggle with breakouts or acne, this masque is definitely for you!
I always follow up my masques with this Ultra Facial Cream by Kiehl’s. It’s super hydrating, but still light and doesn’t make your skin feel oily. Without a good moisturizer, masques can be a little bit drying if you do them on a regular basis, so make sure to follow up with a hydrating face cream!
My current face masque routine: I’m currently doing the Kiehl’s masque once a week, and the Fresh masque once a week, and like I mentioned above, have been able to tell a huge difference in the complexion and vibrancy of my skin!
Other masques I’ve heard GREAT things about that I want to try next:
If y’all decide to try any of these…let me know what you think! Hope you love them as much as I have!
