Shopping for jeans can be kind of overwhelming if you don’t already have your go-to brands. Or, if you do have your go-to brands but you’re wanting to try something new. There are SO many options out there! So today I wanted to create a fall denim guide for y’all to hopefully ease your shopping.
Denim is obviously such a key part of your fall wardrobe. A pair of jeans can really make or break any fall outfit. Think sweaters, over the knee boots, plaid button downs…the key component in each of those outfits is: jeans.
The under $100 faves I rounded up in the image above are all jeans I’ve either tried on, or that I own personally and can honestly say…they are steals! They will look GREAT with any fall outfit, look very high quality, and I really like the fit on all 5 pairs! You can’t go wrong with any of them. I will say though, if you get the black pair (number 3), make sure to size up!
For the “worth the investment” 5 I rounded up…I actually do own all 5 pair. (Don’t worry, I didn’t buy them all at once!) I’ll be honest – up until maybe 3 years ago…I never spent more than $60 on a pair of jeans. I got the majority of my jeans at Ann Taylor LOFT and didn’t care in the slightest (but I also didn’t LOVE them).
After a while though I started accumulating SO many pairs of jeans (like drawers and drawers), because they would stretch out or rip kind of easily or just because my taste changed. So I decided to try out a pair of designer jeans and see if it was really worth all the hype.
This was actually my first pair of “grown up jeans” I ever bought. I know this is a significant amount of money to spend on jeans and before I tried them on, i thought that was nuts. Once I tried them on though, I knew it was worth the money for me. The jeans were actually crazy comfortable (like I travel in jeans now! I used to always think of them as stiff and uncomfortable). I’ve had them for over a year now and they haven’t stretched out AT all. I get compliments on them all the time, and they look great with booties, sandals, heels, and everything in between. I have more than gotten my money’s worth from each pair of jeans I’ve splurged on!
Before trying out AG or Current Elliot jeans…I never really liked wearing jeans. I’m definitely curvier on bottom than I am on top, and I always thought jeans weren’t flattering on me. I just wasn’t a “blue jeans” type of girl. Once I tried out the jeans I rounded up above though…my mind was changed, and I LOVE wearing jeans now. I’d choose to wear them over dresses or skirts any day of the week, and that used to not be the case for me!
Do you have any favorite brands of jeans? Or, what’s been your experience on splurging for a pair? Let me know!
