Goodnight macaroon sweater | High rise skinny jeans | Tortoise sunglasses | Similar necklace here and here | Fringe hobo bag | Suede booties
Hi guys! Sorry I’ve been slightly MIA from blog posts the past few days. Michael and I took a spontaneous trip to NYC Monday and Tuesday and it was absolutely magical! More to come on that soon 🙂
I don’t know about you but I could not be more excited for this weekend. What are y’alls plans? Are you traveling or staying in town? Michael and I will be going to Tyler Christmas Eve to spend the day/night with his family, and then we’re driving out to my parent’s house for Christmas morning! This goodnight macaroon sweater I’m sharing with y’all today would be perfect both for Christmas dinner or a road trip/flight. It is SO soft, not itchy at all, and I love the oversized fit. It also comes in tons of colors!
Most of y’all probably already know this, but I come from a BIG family! So, our holiday get togethers are always a blast because I’m one of 6 kids, and now almost everyone is engaged or married and having babies! So there’s a lot of us. This Christmas, I’m going to do my best for 2 days to just unplug and be with family. To truly focus on being present and making memories. Have you noticed how hard it can be to make memories when you’re glued to snapchat or emails? Speaking from personal experience, it’s not easy to do, because you’re distracted.
So, whether you have a big family or small, whether you’re traveling or staying in town…I’d encourage you to join me in trying to “unplug” for Christmas. Laugh hard with your siblings, have a heart to heart with your mom, soak up every moment with your family and choose to be present. You will never get this Christmas back! Choosing to ‘unplug’ from social media or your phone is never something that just happens. In my experience, it has to be a conscious effort and choice, but it’s one that (in my opinion) is always worth it.
