We are now less than two weeks away from Christmas and holiday parties are in FULL swing! I think we’ve been to 3 Christmas parties already, and lots more to come…not to mention December weddings and wedding showers!
I love to shop, but honestly I feel like shopping for holiday dresses or winter weddings can be tough. You don’t want to be something too fancy or festive that you will only be able to wear once, yet you want the dress to be something special. I love this velvet dress I’m sharing with y’all today because of how simple it is. It’s a dress you can wear through the holiday season but also into January and February as well! You can make this dress “holiday party ready” by dressing it up with statement accessories and a red lip color like I did here – and it also looks adorable with tights and a faux fur wrap over it!
I’m also loving the velvet trend right now! At first I was kind of weirded it out at the 90’s throwback, but I think velvet is gorgeous in the winter – and definitely helps you keep warm! Other velvet dresses I’m loving:

Another thing I want to share with y’all: THIS SELF TANNER! These little strappy dresses can be a girl’s worst enemy in the dead of winter, but I am usually so leery of self tanners, so I just wear my pale loud and proud. I feel like the majority of self tanners smell weird, and leave you looking streaky and orange. I tried out this self tanner about a month ago and have been hooked ever since. It gives you a natural looking tan, yet without the smell or the streaks! Y’all will LOVE it!
