As most of y’all know, Michael and I moved from Dallas to Boulder, Colorado about 2 months ago, and we are absolutely loving it! There is SO much to do and see – amazing restaurants, the cutest coffee shops, and of course…the mountains! So, this city is not only an outdoor playground and absolutely beautiful, but also has so much to offer with shopping and food. So, today I wanted to create a little Boulder City Guide for y’all with a few of my favorite places!
(BTW – if you just google or yelp ‘best restaurants’ or something in Boulder, you’ll get the gist of the most popular spots! Today though I want to share a few spots with y’all that are a little bit more of hidden gems IMO!)PIN IT
One of my favorite little shops that I actually found via Instagram is Cured. Cured has all of the best things in life in one store: wine, cheese, chocolate, and more! They also have gourmet meats to pair with the decadent cheeses and make incredible sandwiches.PIN IT
One of my favorite things about Cured is that they have ‘picnic’ options on their menu! So, you can order a picnic basket consisting of different meat, cheese, baguettes, and chocolates…depending on how many people you have or how hungry you are! They prepare everything for you, and you can pick up your picnic to take to a park near by! And there are SO many great picnic spots in Boulder!PIN IT
We took our picnic spread to Chautauqua park – just a 5-minute drive from Cured. Chautauqua park is another one of my favorite spots in Boulder. You can bring your dog to throw the Frisbee, have a picnic, just layout on the lawn on a sunny day…all with the backdrop of the mountains. There are also TONS of hiking trails at all different levels that start in Chautauqua park.PIN IT
Another local gem I’m obsessed with in Boulder is Wonder. TBH what drew me in initially was the adorable exterior of this juice/coffee shop. It looks like it just came out of the cutest Pinterest board! PIN IT
Wonder is the perfect place to come get some work done, and enjoy a golden latte – which is made with turmeric, nut milk and honey! They have so many really creative coffee/latte options on the menu that are all super healthy (and tasty)! Wonder also makes fresh pressed juices which are equally as delicious.PIN IT
If y’all have been following me for a while, you know what a huge fan I am of Vince Camuto. I’d say at least 50% of my shoe collection is Vince Camuto, and I’ve recently become obsessed with their handbags too! This tassel one I’m wearing here has become a Spring staple for me – it’s the perfect size and goes with everything!PIN IT
One of the reasons I love Vince Camuto is because this style seamlessly fits with my casual/everyday lifestyle. Head to toe, this outfit is one you can run errands around town in, but also meet up with friends for happy hour. I’m all about that!
Outfit details: Off the shoulder top | Skinny jeans | Block heel sandals | Tassel earrings | Tassel crossbody bag | Aviator sunglasses
If you’re heading to Boulder anytime soon, let me know if you try one of these places, and your thoughts on them! Hope you love Boulder as much as I do. A few other Boulder favorites you should definitely check out:
- Snooze and/or The Buff for brunch
- Pizzeria Locale for lunch or dinner
- Oak at Fourteenth for dinner
- The Med and/or Brassiere Ten Ten for happy hour!
Thanks for reading!
