Every now and then you add a nice piece to your wardrobe that becomes your go-to. By ‘go-to’, I mean it’s the top you grab when you’re running out the door to UPS or the grocery store, or getting ready for a night out with your husband, or throwing on over your yoga clothes for a walk around the neighborhood. This free people sweater has 100% become that for me.
I tend to be a little bit slower to purchase any top that’s over $100…I have to REALLY love it once I try it on to make the decision to keep it. This free people sweater has been SUCH a good purchase for me though because I literally wear it at least twice a week, and it’s come with me on every trip we’ve taken so far since I’ve owned it. I even got the coral color also (see my post in it here). It’s taking everything in me to NOT get it in the really pretty blue/grey color it comes in too. Someone, hold me back!
What I love about this free people sweater is how soft and lightweight it is. It really is the perfect spring sweater to wear with denim shorts, or white skinny jeans. (Side note – I wear this strapless bra underneath because the sweater can go off your shoulders!)
Also wanted to do a quick recap of our weekend in Dallas last weekend! Last Friday Michael and I flew to Dallas for the weekend. My little sister Katelyn is getting married in less than two weeks, so we had some of her wedding shower things! ALSO my brother Ryan and his wife Rebekah just had a baby girl – they live in Austin so we drove down to Austin to meet our new niece! I mean….total DOLL!! See for yourself!
On our way back from Dallas we stopped in Waco to see Michael’s sister, Lauren and our niece and nephew! Seriously being their aunt is the funnest thing!
We were in Dallas for maybe 72hrs but got to see the majority of our family (which is saying alot haha we have a lot of family!), and it was so wonderful! Even if we’ve only been in Boulder for about a month now and LOVE it…I have already missed family so much. In case you didn’t already know, I’m one of 6 kids and SO close to all of my siblings. Most of them still live in Dallas so being away has been hard…but getting to see them this past weekend was such a blast!
Also while in Dallas…I made an appointment to get my lashes done at Naomi Elizabeth Studio in Plano…and it feels SO good to have super long lashes again! I know they can be high maintenance and they’re not for everyone…but I personally LOVE having lashes and it felt so good to get them back! Such a relief never having to worry about putting on eyeliner or mascara! Also made an appointment at Bellacures for a mani/pedi, because I’ve yet to find a place in Boulder that I like as much as Bellacures! I’m sure it exists…just haven’t found it yet! At Bellacures I get a dipping power manicure and it stays on at least 3 weeks without chipping at all!

And you KNOW we got our Tex-Mex fix in. In one weekend we ate at Mi Cocina, Chuy’s and Meso Maya haha I think it’s time for cleanse round 2! JK jk. Nothing wrong with letting yourself indulge on the weekends every now and then!
Hope you guys had a great weekend and are making it through the week feeling strong, productive, and thankful for where you’re at in life, in this moment!
