If you’ve been following me for a while, hopefully you know that I’m all about a good sale, or budget-friendly shopping. Any under $50 tee is my jam all day everyday. Something else though I’m learning to value, is splurging for something really special – something you’ve had on your wishlist for a while, and it’s not just an impulse buy. This maxi dress I’m sharing with y’all today is one of those special pieces for me!
I wanted to also share with y’all my mentality/methodology behind how i know when it’s okay to splurge on something or not. So, for instance, with this maxi dress…it’s by a brand I’ve loved forever. Their style is my style exactly and I feel like their pieces are timeless, yet still feminine and boho and unique. I also knew that this brand fits me really well.
Another thing I love about this maxi dress is that you can get SO much use out of it. This would perfect not only for a summer wedding, but fall as well because of the color palette! I think this maxi dress is amazing because it could be dressed down with slide sandals just as easily as it could be a special occasion dress!
Another strategy I use when debating a ‘special’ purchase is quality, and the quality of this maxi dress is one that I know will last for years to come. The dress is lined, so you don’t have to worry about it being see through, and it’s also basically wrinkle proof!
Nordstrom is definitely my go to when I was shopping for maxi dresses for summer. I love that they have SO many options – all at different price points and for different occasions, depending on what you’re needing. Below I’ve rounded up other maxi dresses for summer that I’m loving – all at different price points!
Another mentality I use in deciding whether or not something is worth a splurge is how I feel in it. Everytime I put this maxi dress on I really do feel beautiful. I feel feminine and very much myself, which is 100% necessary when deciding whether or not something is worth a splurge!
