If you follow me on instagram or instagram stories…you know I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect fall lip colors! Obviously we all get excited for blanket scarves and over-the-knee boots…but re-incorpoarting fall lip colors back into my makeup routine always makes me SO happy for the new season! So, today I’m sharing 5 of my favorite fall lip colors with y’all! (TBH it was REALLY hard to narrow down because I probably have more like 10 faves haha).

First I want to share with y’all my 3 favorite fall lip colors for everyday. These are the fall lip colors I wear with jeans and a tee, or even after a workout class if I’m out running errands! These 3 colors go with everything and are all very neutral. The ones pictured on my hand above from top to bottom are“blankety” by mac,“mehr” by mac, and “american woman” by NARS (which is what I’m wearing in these photos!). Now I’ll describe each of them to you!

As you can tell from the photo – this lip color is the most natural / sheer of the three. It’s a really pretty shade of light pink / nude. I wear this color year round and love how hydrating it feels on your lips. If you don’t like alot of color on your lips, blankety would be a great option for you!
I just got ‘mehr’ a few weeks ago after I’d heard countless people RAVE about this color. Let me tell ya…it’s all it’s cracked up to be and MORE. This is the perfect everyday fall lip color if you like fall pinks (which I LOVE). It’s kind of a rosey pink color, and not too bright. It’s the perfect “fall pink” IMO and truly a universally flattering shade!
This is definitely the most pigmented of the three options. I just now discovered these powermatte lip pigments by NARS when we were in California last week and I’m obsessed! They legit stay on for HOURS (we’re talking a minimum of 4hrs, even if you’ve been eating and drinking), but they don’t dry your lips out at all! I tend to stay away from liquid lipsticks because they make your lips look cracked and dry, which is not a good look. These lip pigments are nothing like that though – they go on so smooth and feel amazing.
ANYWAY. I love this “American Woman” color because it’s truly the perfect nude with a hint of pink in it. Nudes are really hit or miss for me (because the nudes that have orange undertones look horrible on me). This one has very neutral undertones, and just the right amount of pink. This lipstick could transition perfectly too from “everyday” to “night out”, for fall lip colors!
BTW I know I titled the post ‘5 favorite fall lip colors’ but HAVE to throw in here…I’m also obsessed with ‘Velvet Teddy’ by Mac! Sadly I lost mine though right when we were shooting this post! But it is AMAZING.

Now onto my favorite fall lip colors for date nights, going out, fall weddings, or anytime you want to make a statement! My two favorites are “Del Rio” by Mac, and “Save the Queen” by NARS.

When I started my hunt for fall lip colors…Del Rio wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, because it’s slightly out of my comfort zone! It’s a deep red, but SO gorgeous. When the sales lady at Nordstrom suggested I try that one on…I could not believe how much I loved it! It truly is the perfect ‘statement’ fall lip color, and I think this shade of deep red would look gorgeous on anyone! Here’s a pic of me wearing it below (I think it’s so chic!):

“Save the Queen” by NARS

I’m wearing “save the queen” in the photo above! I think out of all of my favorite fall lip colors, this one is my current #1 favorite! It’s another one of those NARS powermatte pigment lip colors so it stays in FOREVER, and I love how rich the color is! It’s a rich plum, almost purple-y, but not too purple. It looks gorgeous with black or grey sweaters, or even white tops for a fun pop of color! It also looks beautiful in pictures!

I should also mention that I’m obsessed with this lipstick primer that I wear underneath ALL of these fall lip colors! I always thought these were just a marketing ploy to get you to spend more money…but once I tried this one out, I realized it makes all the difference. This primer creates a smooth surface for the lipsticks to go on, and makes them last so much longer (especially the Mac lipsticks).
Nordstrom will always be my go-to when it comes to shopping for new lipsticks, or just makeup in general. They have some amazing services available for their customers that I use all the time. Two of my favorites are Free Shipping & Free Returns, and Buy Online & Pick Up in Store or Curbside Pickup.
What that means for you as a shopper is you can literally order any of the lip colors I linked here (or anything else I’m wearing from Nordstrom), and not pay anything for shipping. It’s also amazing because if you change your mind between now and when it comes in the mail and need to return it…Nordstrom also has free returns and they include the return label in your bag! So returns are not only free, but they are SO easy! It makes my life as a shopper so much easier because I don’t have to debate for hours on “which size” or “which color”…you can order all of it, knowing you can return it just as easily!
