It’s no surprise by now how obsessed I am with Colorado, and especially Colorado in the fall. It truly is magical and one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. A few mornings ago I was running in the crisp autumn air, running through the most vibrant yellow trees and had one of those moments. Do you now what I’m talking about? One of those moments where I was all of the sudden like “how did I get here? where am I right now?!”. I suddenly remembered going for a run in Dallas around mine and Michael’s first apartment we ever lived in (slightly different scenery lol), when we had been married for about 3 months. I remembered on that Dallas run that I was praying just for our marriage and the adventure that God had us on. Now, over 3 years later…I never dreamed the Lord would have brought us to live in such a beautiful place, that we love so much, to have the adventure of a lifetime.
Throughout our engagement and first years of marriage, Michael and I both had a desire to live somewhere else for a little while. To get out of Dallas, and have an adventure that was just our own. We prayed and prayed about it for years but doors didn’t seem to be opening. And then one day, the Lord put Colorado on our hearts and everything seemed to fall into place. (There are a few more steps in that process but I won’t go into that now haha). And now that we’re in CO, I have moments all the time…when I see the mountains, or the rainbow-colored leaves, or we’re at a new restaurant in downtown Boulder where I am just reminded of God’s faithfulness and His goodness to us. That He knew the desire of our hearts, and led us to this amazing place, and this incredible season of life together.
I think there is so much power and encouragement that happens when we look for signs of God’s faithfulness, or remind ourselves how good He’s been to us. Maybe you see signs of His faithfulness to you when you look at your baby, or down at your wedding ring. Sometimes I pray in the mornings, “Lord show me signs of your goodness and faithfulness today. Make me so aware of it,” and He always does!
Maybe you’re going through a challenging season right now where you don’t necessarily feel God’s goodness or faithfulness to you. If that’s you, I just encourage you all the more to look for signs of His faithfulness. Ask Him to remind you of how good he is – no matter what the circumstances.
Or maybe you’re going through a really sweet and really good season of life. I challenge you even then to stop and remember how good God has been to you. Ask him to show you signs of His faithfulness so you and remember how far he’s brought you. I think this process is truly powerful and so encouraging to remember that God has been walking with us through every step of the way. Through the ups and downs He’s still been there and He is always faithful. For me, I see signs of His faithfulness when I see and experience Colorado fall.
One thing y’all know I love about fall is some cozy fall clothes! I recently got these amazing over the knee boots and couldn’t believe they were under $150! The quality is amazing and I think they are so flattering on everyone. I’m also swooning over this chunky oversized knit scarf. I love wearing it with a basic outfit to make an instant statement! Fall truly is the most wonderful time of year!

What is it for you, that when you see, or do…you’re reminded of God’s faithfulness to you? Maybe it’s when a song comes on or you read an old journal entry. Whatever it is, I just want to encourage y’all to stop, today, and remind yourself of just how good God has been to you and that He has been so faithful to carry you to exactly where you are, for a purpose.
This “remembering” process for me is always so freeing because it reminds me “I am not in control. God is sovereign. He is faithful, and He will always work all things out for His glory…just like He always has!”
