Happy Friday! One of the most commonly asked questions I get from you guys is about my Nespresso machine, which I am obviously obsessed with. So for today’s Friday’s in Fall post, I wanted to share all about my nespresso machine(s) and how I use it!
So, I’ve had the Nespresso lattissima touch machine for over a year now, and recently got the vertuoplus machine as well. The Lattissima touch is an amazing machine for making lattes, cappuccinos, or straight espresso shots. The milk frother is attached to the machine, so you don’t need a separate milk frother. You can select which type of drink you want (a cappuccino has more frothy airy foam, a latte has less foam, and a macchiato is like layers of the frothed milk), and the machine will froth the milk based on your selection, and then make the espresso. If you just want a straight espresso shot, you can pick which size you want. So, this machine is awesome because there are so many different options! I typically make my lattes with almond milk which doesn’t get quite as “frothy” as normal milk…but I really like the taste of almond milk! And I’ll usually add a dash of cinnamon on top!
I recently got the Vertuoplus machine and I am OBSESSED. I love the Lattissima touch but it doesn’t have the option of just making a cup of coffee. So previously we had that machine on the counter, as well as a coffee pot and a Keurig for regular coffee.
I love the Vertuoplus machine because it gives you the option to make a regular cup of coffee OR espresso! This machine does not have an attached milk frother so you need to buy one separately if you want to make lattes! I have this one.
If I’m making regular coffee with the Vertuoplus machine, it’s as simple as putting one of your pods in and pressing a button. I add a little bit of almond milk or creamer because I don’t drink my coffee totally black. The coffee it makes though is SO rich and yummy. I was never a fan of the way Keurig coffee tasted, but this tastes SO good.
You can also make lattes with the Nespresso Vertuoplus machine. First, you put your desired milk into the milk frother. Then, pour that frothed milk into a mug. Then you just put an espresso pod in Vertuoplus machine (they are different than the coffee pods – they’re smaller), and press a button, and the machine will make a shot of espresso! Again, I’ll add a dash of cinnamon on top of that…and have also really been wanting to try some syrups with it! (This one looks so good!)
Obviously my obsession with coffee (and caffeine lol) runs DEEP! These machines are 100% worth the investment and will probably pay for themselves before too long if you’re running to starbucks for a latte on the reg!
Let me know if you have any other latte secrets or tricks! I’m always looking to up my coffee game!
