my go-to starbucks drink + other healthy options!
If you keep up with me on instagram stories, you’re probably already well aware of my go-to healthy starbucks drink [because I’m addicted and post it on the reg!]. I’m a bit of a coffee addict and I love starbucks. But, unless you just get coffee at starbucks, a lot of those really yummy lattes can definitely add up quick in terms of calories and sugar! For a while, when I’d go to starbucks if I was wanting to ‘be healthy’ or ‘not drink my calories’ [lol name that movie], I would just order coffee [which, I still love! but it definitely doesn’t satisfy my sweet tooth]. Well, I’m happy to say that I have finally made up / found a go-to healthy starbucks drink that is still SO yummy – a lot tastier than black coffee haha. [Side note – I still love the normal “less healthy” drinks ie peppermint mocha get in my belly, and there’s nothing wrong with enjoying those every now and then! Today I just wanted to share some healthy starbucks drink ideas with y’all].
SO, my go to healthy starbucks drink is an almond milk flat white with 1 pump sugar free cinnamon dolce [that’s if I’m getting a tall. if I get a grande I’ll do two pumps]. First of all I love almond milk and prefer that to normal milk in any of my lattes or coffees. I love the taste. Second of all, I love flat whites. In really simple terms, a flat white is basically like a latte, but with a little less milk and a little more espresso [all you coffee experts out there, bear with my simplified terms haha]. I love this drink because it’s strong, but not too strong, it’s creamy, and has just the right amount of ‘sweet’ to it. A tall also only has about 100 cals, or slightly less!
I love getting tagged in y’alls instagram stories of you trying out this drink! A while ago I said on IG stories we needed to come up with a name for it. One reader came up with the name “Simsamon Dolce Latte” which I thought was hilarious haha. What are the odds starbucks will start catching on to that name?! #DREAM haha.
This is pretty much my go-to drink year round, but if it’s super hot outside and I want a cold drink…my go to healthy starbucks drink that’s COLD is coffee frappuccino light [and sometimes I’ll add a shot of espresso!]. It’s basically just coffee and ice blended with non-fat milk, and then I’ll add a dash of cinnamon on top. When it’s hot outside I also like to just get cold brew coffee as well!
Okay now i want to talk about this outfit slash really these accessories! How adorable is this rose colored tote?! It’s only $65 but the quality is amazing! It’s the perfect ‘take to work’ bag, or I’ve also brought it on a plane! It holds my laptop, iPad, makeup bag, and still has room for more. I’ve also been loving these black slides! You’ve probably seen them in several recent IG #ootd’s I’ve posted, because they are so easy to slip on with everything! They’re under $100 and come in a few other colors, that would be adorable for spring!
