If you’ve been reading the blog for a while or follow me on instagram, then you probably know that over the last year or so I’ve become extremely passionate about skincare. I just turned 28 in March and I’m learning that the older I get (don’t worry, I realize 28 isn’t old at all lol) it’s truly important to pay attention to what you’re putting on your skin and to truly invest in taking good care of it. In high school and college I could pretty much stick to makeup wipes and a basic cleanser and call it a day, but that just wouldn’t cut it anymore. Not only do I want to treat and prevent breakouts, but I want to address any skin issue I have or am prone to – dullness, uneven texture, dark circles, fine lines, blemishes, etc. All of it! As I’ve been on this journey to learn more about and invest in quality skincare, I came across a product that I’m so excited to chat about with y’all today.
My #OneBottleAwayFrom Journey: What It Is + Why I Tried It
You may have seen on instagram a few weeks ago that I started my #OneBottleAwayFrom journey with SK-II. Basically, I committed to using their Facial Treatment Essence twice daily for the weeks leading up to our big anniversary trip in Hawaii. I don’t know about y’all, but it’s a major goal of mine to feel confident without any makeup on – to have smooth, radiant skin that I’m proud of, especially when I’m on the beach or by the pool and don’t want to mess with any foundation or concealer. Is there anything wrong with makeup? Not at all. But I’m always looking for ways to feel more confident in my own skin and to encourage y’all to do the same. Well, I’ve completed my journey and today I want to tell y’all all about my results and give an honest review of the product.
First off, if you’ve never heard of this Facial Treatment Essence, let me give you a little background. It’s been around for over 35 years, so it’s a tried and true product. I know so many women who use it and just swear by the stuff – it’s a staple in their beauty routine. It earned itself the nickname “miracle water” and I totally see why. It’s made of 90% PITERA, an ingredient made up of over 50 micro-nutrients that work to do everything from smoothing your skin to evening your texture and color.
My Results
After using the essence every day for the last few weeks, I’ve seen amazing results! I couldn’t be happier with my transformation and I am even more excited for our upcoming trip to Hawaii (didn’t even know that was possible lol). First off, I noticed that I have a much more even texture and skin tone. This “miracle water” helped so much with the dry spots I have and I saw a huge improvement in the dark circles I’m so prone to under my eyes. I usually reach for CC cream or foundation to help even out my skin tone, but I definitely have noted a more even skin tone as a result of adding this essence to my skincare regimen. Truly, I feel so much more confident going all natural and not wearing makeup!
Whenever I use the product, I apply it after cleansing and toning before I put on any of my serums. Because of this, I honestly feel like my skin absorbs my serums so much better – basically making my entire routine more effective. Y’all also know I’m always looking for more hydration (#coloradoprobs), so I love that this stuff is so hydrating and leaves your skin feeling extra soft and smooth. Seriously I saw this difference early on and it just made me even more excited for my results.
After using the Facial Treatment Essence for a few weeks, I began to see that my skin was firmer and more radiant. Are y’all starting to understand why people call this stuff miracle water?! As I approach 30, I’m always looking for ways to prevent fine lines and under eye bags/circles. I loved that after incorporating this into my daily routine, my skin looked firmer and more youthful – even in the midst of moving houses and lots of restless nights!

As we get ready to head to Hawaii for our anniversary trip, I can honestly say I’m so happy with my results and would recommend this product to anyone looking to truly take their skincare routine to the next level. A little goes a long way which makes the splurge totally worth it and it’s an incredible way to incorporate quality skincare into your life. I wanted to see more even, radiant skin that I could feel confident in without makeup, and I’m so happy to say that is exactly what was achieved!
