Whenever we moved from Dallas to Boulder, I was a little bit sad about leaving SUCH a foodie-friendly city like Dallas. We had SO many restaurants in Dallas we loved (see this post for some of our favorites), and I knew Boulder was a much smaller city. We have been insanely pleasantly surprised though since moving to Boulder to find what a foodie city is! Seriously there are so many amazing restaurant options at tons of different price points. I also love that so many of these restaurants have vegan, paleo, gluten free, organic, farm to table, etc options. I actually haven’t really missed food in Dallas at all (other than Mi Cocina let’s be real). SO, I thought today it would be fun to share with y’all not only this summer date night outfit…but also our favorite date night spots in Boulder!PIN IT
Pizzeria Locale
Pizzeria Locale is one of the first restaurants we ever went to in Boulder and still one of our all time favorites for a date night. It’s so cute on the inside and has a really intimate environment. Their pizza is also delicious and we love their house red wine (obviously, pre-pregnancy haha). It’s Napoletana-style pizza and they use extremely fresh ingredients, several of which come from local family-run farms in CO!
Oak at Fourteenth
Oak is another long time fave for us! We went here for my birthday dinner right after we moved to Boulder about a year ago, and it’s been a favorite every since. Again, the environment is very intimate and romantic, and their food is even better. You 100% have to get the chicken when you go – best chicken I’ve ever had! They have a seasonally inspired menu with locally grown ingredients. Everything has so much flavor and always tastes so fresh, and their service has always been great!
River & Woods
River & Woods probably wins the award for cutest date night spot on this list! The restaurant is actually in this adorable cottage, with an even more charming back yard which is amazing during the summertime. The food is “colorado comfort cuisine”, and everything we’ve ever ordered here has been amazing. This is a great date night spot but you could just as easily bring your kids here! They also have the best desserts and ending your night with table-side s’mores is always a good idea!
Blackbelly
Blackbelly is another great spot both for date night, or just dinner with friends or if you have family in town! We’ve actually only been one time but knew after that one time that this was a new favorite for us. Blackbelly’s menu also changes seasonally and they are committed to sourcing local, sustainable, organic, non-gmo food. They have amazing meat options (there’s a butcher shop right next door and all of their meat is incredible). But they also have great seafood options, local cheeses and more! We love this place!
Hapa Sushi
Hapa has been our favorite sushi spot in Boulder since we moved here. The prices are reasonable, and I’m pretty sure we’ve loved every sushi roll we’ve ever ordered from here! The firecracker roll and the 69 roll are our favorites I think! We also recently discovered that they have amazing dessert – some kind of banana nut bread and we get it with ice cream. HEAVEN! We’ve tried a few other sushi places in Boulder but this continues to be our favorite!
Outfit Details: V-Neck Tank | White High-Waist Crop Jeans | Sole Society Crossbody | Sole Society Wedges | Earrings | Initial Necklace | Ray-Ban Sunnies
I honestly could make a list of probably 10 more places that we love in Boulder for date night spots haha but I’ll leave it here with my top 5! Boulder is seriously exploding though with incredible restaurants so you really do have a million options!
Also this outfit I’m sharing with y’all today is definitely a go-to for me for a summer date night outfit. These white jeans have been on repeat ever since I got them about a month ago. They are so comfortable, really flattering (even at 15 weeks pregnant haha), and I love the raw hem. I’m also loving this little crossbody bag for summer and it’s super budget-friendly! The pop of color is so fun, but it’s neutral enough that allows you to pair it with tons of summer outfits!
Thanks for reading y’all! Hope you had a great weekend!
