I don’t know about you but I’m a major sucker for a dress or jumpsuit with a gorgeous back – especially a low back, no back, or strappy back like on this adorable striped dress I’m wearing today! Up until a few months ago, I would always shy away from these dresses though because of this dilemma: how do I wear a bra with that? Almost every single time I post a cami or a strapless top on instagram you guys ask me about what bra to wear. So, today I’m telling you the two bras you need to wear with any backless dress, strapless maxi dress, camisole, and anything else you can think of that isn’t “bra-friendly”.
So, for a dress (or jumpsuit or top) like I’m wearing today that doesn’t allow for even the best strapless bra…insert nippies. These ultra-thin matte silicone patches are only $25, give you smooth coverage, and are actually surprisingly comfortable. You don’t have to worry about them slipping around or falling off (talk about embarrassing lol #BEENTHERE). Once you stick ’em on, they stay on! They are washable and reusable for up to 30 wears, but I think they can last even longer than that! They fit pretty much all sizes – whether you are an A or a D. I wear these with ALL of my backless tops / dresses and they stay on great and definitely get the job done! I highly recommend!
Before I found the above nippies, I used to just buy those sticky bras at target. I’ve heard they work great for some people but let me tell you…I am not one of those people haha. If you sweat AT ALL, or really move at all, they move around, don’t fit well, and look super awkward underneath your clothes (IMO). I haven’t had that issue at all with these nippies. They’re amazing.
The next kind of bra I want to share with y’all today that is 100% necessary for camis, strapless maxis, or halter tops…is the best strapless bra in the world. Literally. I know what you’re thinking – strapless bras are so uncomfortable, don’t stay put, and don’t hold the girls up. Totally not the case for this magical strapless bra! Like I would choose to wear this bra even if I was wearing a t-shirt and didn’t have to go strapless. It’s that comfortable and looks that good underneath clothes! This is the best strapless bra in my opinion because it stays in place, it’s supportive, and fits like a glove!
