Some of you guys might remember my nordstrom anniversary sale men’s post from last year, where Michael and I went into Nordstrom together to pick out his favorites (and my favorites for him). I couldn’t believe how many requests I got this year to do another nordstrom anniversary sale men’s post! So today I will be sharing mine and Michael’s top picks for men from the nsale! This is a great time to update your man’s wardrobe, or surprise him with a gift, or shop early for his bday!
Before I get started…I apologize for the poor lighting in these photos. The fitting room lighting wasn’t ideal…and I wanted to get this post up for you guys as quickly as possible, so these are all just iPhone pics! Also, for size reference, Michael is 6 foot and typically wears a size large!
Okay, let’s start with shoes!
Michael actually already has almost this exact same pair of sneakers, so we didn’t buy these on the nsale, but these are a great everyday shoe to pair with shorts or jeans! Michael loves his and wears them all the time, and says they are super comfortable. These are on sale for $42 during the sale which is an amazing price! Your guy will get tons of use out of these.
These are in my top 3 purchases that we made for Michael from the NSale. First of all, I love how these shoes look. They will go with everything and just look clean. But the main reason why I love this purchase for M is because the metcons are an amazing athletic shoe. They’re great for crossfit type workouts or heavy lifting. The quality of this shoe is incredible, and they’re on sale for under $100 during the sale which is a GREAT deal! These tennis shoes usually start at $130. I’ve never seen them go on sale like this!
It’s kind of hard to tell what these shoes look like in the above photo, because they’re not made to go with shorts haha. Michael will wear these with jeans. But they are the perfect ‘in between’ shoe that’s nicer than an athletic shoe, but more casual than a dress shoe! They look great with denim and a sweater or jeans and a polo. They are marked down to right above $50 during the NSale and Michael said they are super comfortable!
Okay, now onto clothes!
Patagonia Pullover – Michael is wearing a size L. Fit is TTS
AG Slim Straight jean in black
Michael and I both love this Patagonia pullover! It’s one of those pieces I know he will get so much use out of – going to and from the gym, running errands in the winter, going for hikes, lounging at home, etc. The NSale is the perfect time to stock up on things like Patagonia because you’ll never get these pieces for such a good price!
You will see a lot of AG jeans in this post because there are tons of them included in the nsale this year, and they are Michael’s favorite brand of jeans! If you buy them from Nordstrom (even online) they will hem them for free, so the length doesn’t really matter! Michael loves the style and the fit of AG jeans. And the quality is amazing. He got his first pair about 2 years ago and they are still in perfect condition, after about 1,000 wears haha.
Michael also got this pair of AG khaki shorts that we love, but I forgot to get a pic of them! They come in tons of colors.
Crewneck T-shirt – Michael is wearing a size medium
Last year was the first year we were introduced to Robert Barakett tees for men…and they are now hands down Michael’s favorite brand of t-shirts! I think he now has at least 4 different colors and he wears these tees ALL the time! They’re incredibly soft and the quality is amazing. There’s something about them too that makes them look nicer than just a regular ol t-shirt. The fit is so good (it’s a slim fit) and looks great on just about anyone! So this year he got this crewneck tee in black! Surprise your man with one of these tees. I promise he will fall in LOVE! [with you, and the tee].
We both loved the wash of these AG slim fit jeans! They are a light grey so they can easily be worn in the summer or fall! They are really soft, and like all AG jeans, so comfortable!
Bonobos slim fit sport shirt – Michael is wearing the size Large
This is just a great, classic buttondown that looks great with khaki’s or black jeans. It’s also a really soft material and $65 for a Bonobos shirt is such a good deal! I love this brand of clothing for men!
Billy Reid slim fit henley – Michael is wearing a size large
I don’t know about your man, but Michael is obsessed with Henley tees. I originally said “no henleys from the nsale” because he has about 100, but this one was too good to pass up! It’s the perfect tee for both lounging or layering under a jacket when the temps start dropping. Billy Reid is another really high quality designer so I know this henley will last Michael for years to come!
Patagonia Water Resistant Puffer Jacket – Michael is wearing a size large
Again, when staple Patagonia pieces like this go on sale, you grab ’em! This puffer jacket is such an essential piece for winter, and I know Michael will be wearing constantly. It’s warm but still breathable, water resistant, and just has a classic look to it IMO!
Full Zip Hoodie – Michael is wearing a size large
Jogger Pants – Michael is wearing a size large
I think I could’ve done an entire blog post with our top athleisure pics for men from the nsale because there is SO MUCH. We especially love all of the Zella athletic pieces for men because the price on them is SO good, without sacrificing quality! This hoodie Michael is wearing is insanely soft and on sale for $58! It’s perfect for working out, going for runs, walking the dog, running errands, lounging, and just about anything else. These jogger sweatpants are on sale for $38 and Michael said they were super comfortable and he loved the fit!
We also got Michael these amazing zella shorts for lounging / athleisure / everyday wear.
Slim Fit Check Sport Shirt – Michael is wearing a size medium in the photo above, which was a tad too small! We needed to order the large, but still wanted to get a pic of the shirt!
I love the colors in this buttondown shirt! I think it’s perfect for transitioning between summer and fall. It’s made with breathable cotton and has a slim fit.
Vince Hoodie – Michael is wearing the size large
I think this is probably Michael’s favorite piece from the nsale! It’s hard to show in a pic just how amazing this hoodie is…but I’m also obsessed with it! It’s pricy for a hoodie but I promise your man will love it and wear it ALL the time. It’s insanely soft and one of those shirts that looks so cool with denim and sneakers, but could also totally work with jogger sweatpants. The quality of this shirt is also a 10/10 so it will last forever!
