Lauren’s August favorites
Longchamp Leather Tote – Okay, I could legit do an entire blog post on why this tote is worth every penny. First of all, this tote is the perfect size for traveling, work, out running errands, and literally anything else you do in life. It’s not SO big to where you lose everything in it, but it definitely holds a ton. I also love that it zips at the top – I kind of stopped traveling with a tote because I didn’t like that they stayed open. I also love that it’s leather…but a really soft (not stiff at all) leather. So it’s easy and lightweight to carry. I’ve heard tons of moms say they also use this as kind of a diaper bag and it’s worked wonders for them / lasted for years. Truly, cannot recommend this tote enough!
Snoogle Pregnancy Pillow – I finally broke down and bought a pregnancy pillow and the only thing I regret is not buying this sooner! I am a back-sleeper, so sleeping on my side during pregnancy has been really difficult / uncomfortable. This pillow helps me get comfortable at night on my side, and helps me stay on my side. I sleep 10x better with this pillow than I do without it! I honestly think I’ll keep sleeping with it after I’m not pregnant anymore haha.
Nike Free Flyknits – These kicks were love at first sight. Honestly, look at them. They’re adorable. But I fell in love with them even more once I tried them on, and wore them to the gym for the first time. They’re super lightweight and perfect for cross training, weight lifting or HIIT exercises. I personally don’t run in mine, but I know people who do, and love them! I’ve worn mine on the stairmaster, for walks, weight training, or just running around town. Highly recommend!
Madewell Maternity Jeans – After trying on at least 10 pair of maternity jeans, these Madewell jeans win by a landslide. First of all, I love how they look. I actually have these same black madewell jeans in the non-maternity version because I love the wash and distressing! But, I love that these actually still fit and look like jeans – some pregnancy jeans look and feel more like leggings which I don’t like. These are flattering and comfortable and perfect for a growing bump. I got them in a size 25.
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Resurfacing Serum – Y’all might have seen me post about this serum on IG stories recently because I got hooked on it about a month ago! If you’ve read my skincare routine, you know I was previously using the Drunk Elephant TLC night serum as my resurfacing serum. I think these two products are very comparable. I think the Farmacy serum though might be a little more…potent? Strong? You can use them together though! Like, use DE 5 nights a week and use the Farmacy two nights a week, since it is a little bit more intense. It’s a great serum though to clear and prevent breakouts, and just give your skin a smooth and glowing complexion!
Colorblock Cardigan – This cardigan kind of just SPEAKS for itself! I have the “kent” cardigan in 3 colors now and love how soft it is, and I love the length. As soon as I saw this colorblock beauty I knew I had to have it!
Dermaclear Makeup Remover Pads – Okay this is a new product that I just started using a few weeks ago and I LOVE these! They are perfect for traveling because they are individually packaged. I also love that the are hypoallergenic so they don’t have any fragrance or weird chemicals. Some makeup removing wipes have a ton of alcohol in them and leave your skin feeling really dry. These pads cleanse the skin using a milk emulsion to entrap and lift impurities away from the skin, so your skin doesn’t dry out!
Martha’s Favorites
R + Co Bel Air Shampoo – Now I am definitely an Oribe girl, but I also have been loving this R+Co shampoo! I like that it’s sulfate-free and is a quality shampoo that doesn’t totally break the bank. My hair is SO prone to breakage, and I love that this stuff really repairs my hair and leaves it feeling so much softer and stronger. Plus a little goes a long way, so it lasts a long time! Especially if you only wash you hair 2-3 times a week like I do. 🙂
Karen Walker Sunnies – Ok, so I actually bought these back in May after eyeing them for literally two years. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a pair of sunglasses by far, but it is SO worth it. I don’t know how to describe it, but I love that they’re more solid and sturdy so I know they won’t break/snap easily. They just look so classic and feminine, too! Like seriously they look good on everyone/every face shape. If you’ve been on the fence, I for sure recommend grabbing them!
Vince Slip On Sneakers – I know this is one of Lauren’s faves, but I had to chime in cause these shoes are that good. I LOVE them and honestly have no complaints about them. They’re super comfortable and supportive, and they work really well for travel or days when you’re going to be on your feet a lot. I got them in black last year and I’ve worn them a ton, and they’ve held up so well.
Thanks for reading friends! So excited for September and all the fall things to begin!
