Happy Friday friends! I am especially excited for this Friday because Michael and I are going to the BRUNO MARS concert tonight! I got him tickets for our anniversary back in March and I can’t believe September is already here! After the concert, we’re actually leaving for NYC Saturday morning, for fashion week things! When we first found out we were pregnant back in March, I did the math and figured out I’d be 31 weeks pregnant at fashion week…so I instantly thought “guess I won’t want to go”. But as my pregnancy progressed and I continued to feel great, I decided it sounded like a blast to be there for a few days! In previous years I’ve either gone by myself or brought my sister. This year I’m bringing Michael though because it just made me feel better about being in NYC this far into pregnancy haha. I know he’ll be super helpful and supportive during a really busy few days.
Another reason I’m bringing Michael though is because we’re going to make a little NYC trip out of it! In previous seasons, I’ve gone to NYFW and forced myself to go to as many fashion week events as possible! All of the shows, all of the parties, all of the happy hours, network as much as possible…and there’s nothing wrong with that! TBH though, this year I’m planning on doing a few fashion week things, and then just exploring New York and see a few friends there with my boo.
If you follow a lot of bloggers, you might be wondering why so many bloggers attend fashion week. It’s a great time to network with other influencers and brands, attend shows and see the trends for the coming season (in this case, Spring 2019), and make connections with new brands you want to work with! It’s also a great time to be able to meet brands face to face that we’ve been working with, but only had contact via e-mail before!
We’ll be in NYC for 3 nights and doing some fashion week things, but we’re also seeing a show, seeing old friends who live there, and exploring the city, and I’m really excited for the trip! New York will always hold such a special place in my heart! Let me know if you guys have any favorite spots in NYC we must stop by or eat at while we’re there! I always love getting recommendations from you guys!

On a different note, I also wanted to talk about the booties and crossbody bag I’m wearing in these photos! They are both super budget-friendly and can easily pair with nearly ANY fall outfit you have hanging in your closet! I love the lighter, neutral colors for fall. The booties are super comfortable (perfect heel height) and I love the size of this crossbody bag. So, if you’ve been needing some new fall accessories without breaking the bank, I highly recommend these two items!
Thanks for reading friends! Hope y’all have a great weekend!
