I don’t know about your stage of life right now, but for me these past several months have been full of exploration, travel, changes, and a life fully in motion. I don’t mean solely in the literal sense either – I’ve personally been going through a lot of changes as I prepare to become a mother, and our family will soon go from just Michael and me (and Beau)…to a family with a BABY GIRL. There have been so many changes already happening – from getting a nursery ready, to physical body changes, exploring what it means to be Godly and wise parents, and so much more. Life has definitely been in motion in every sense of the word!
Throughout this transition season, I’ve also been exploring what my style really looks like. I’ve learned to appreciate quality-made, classic pieces that will last me through tons of different life stages. For example, this beautiful (and reversible!) camel coat is a piece I know i will have in my wardrobe for years to come! I love that it’s chic and on-trend, but also a classic staple that will never go out of style.
I also love the two colors in this jacket because camel and grey go with everything. This gorgeous coat can be dressed down with distressed denim like I’m wearing here, or paired over a chic little black dress for a night out! It’s one of the most versatile pieces I own and I’m convinced every girl needs one in her wardrobe!
Through this season of exploration – both in the literal and personal sense, I’m also learning to appreciate the here and now. Yes, life is totally in motion right now and there is so much about to be happening…but we also have today. We have the opportunity to fully live in, be in, invest in today. No matter where you’re at in life right now – whether you’re also in a season of exploration and change or just going through your day-to-day…let’s remember to fully be in each and every day. Maybe exploration looks like exploring what it looks like to be the best wife, mom, sister, or friend you can be today, and living out that role with your whole heart!
