taking the stress out of a favorite Christmas tradition

Happy Friday friends! Even with working from home and taking time off with Shiloh, there’s still something so happy + freeing about Fridays. They’re just the best! With Thanksgiving behind us and December is full swing, I wanted to talk about one of my favorite Christmas traditions: Christmas cards! Y’all, I LOVE them! I love receiving them, putting them on display or in a basket somewhere in our house, and of course, I was so excited to have ours made this year with our precious new addition! Is anyone else as obsessed with sending/received Christmas cards as I am?!

As much as I absolutely love them, the process of getting them shot/made can always be a little overwhelming. From figuring out outfits to finding the time to shoot to ordering + addressing, it can easily become another stressful holiday activity. This year though, it was literally a stress-free process and I am SO thankful! As I’ve shared on instagram stories and on the blog, there’s obviously been a huge adjustment to having Shiloh and figuring out the whole ‘working mom’ balance. If there’s one thing I don’t have much of at all right now, it’s downtime. At one point I thought “okay maybe the Christmas cards won’t happen this year, it’s too much work, etc”. But then as I started research and look into getting them made, I was SO excited when I saw that Walmart can make Christmas cards! This was my first year making our cards through Walmart and I honestly only have positive things to say about our experience.

As you can see here, Walmart truly has so much variety when it comes to card options. You can choose from a wide assortment of templates. Whether you’re looking for more of a minimalist look or something super festive, they seriously have it all. I love how ours turned out but I literally think I could have designed like 10 different versions haha! It was so hard to choose! But ultimately I loved the subtle glitter detail on this one. I also have to say that they have so many reasonably priced options, which is especially nice during this time of year slash if you’re like me and want to send a card to everyone!

Once we had our photos done, the entire designing/ordering process was super simple and efficient. I could get it all done while Shiloh was napping! I also loved that they shipped so quickly after I ordered them. So if you’re a last minute person, you can rest easy knowing the shipping is nice and fast! There’s still time to get your order in and have your cards in plenty of time for Christmas. IF you order by the 14th, your cards will arrive before Christmas. Plus, Walmart also offers free shipping on anything over $35 or you can choose to pick it up in store.

I am so happy with how our card turned out and I know I’ll love looking back at our first Christmas card with Shiloh. The quality is incredible and it really turned out exactly as I hoped. Holiday cards are something I look forward to every year. It’s such a sweet way to stay connected with family and loved ones, and I love seeing all the adorable photos every year! It is easily one of my favorite Christmas traditions.
