About a week ago, I took a poll on instagram stories to get feedback from you guys about what type of content you wanted to see from me in 2019. I was blown away with how many requests I got for more fitness posts, or recipe / health-related content! When Martha and I were brainstorming content ideas for this year, we thought it would be really fun to kick off a new series in the new year all about health and wellness! So today we’re kicking off wellness wednesday! What can you expect to see in this series?
Every Wednesday we’ll have a post up with something wellness related. Wellness is such a buzz word right now and can mean so many different things. I personally think “wellness” is a very holistic concept. I intentionally did not shoot a fitness look to kick off this series because I think wellness is so much more than just working out (even though that’s definitely a part of it!). I think wellness incorporates all aspects of life that involve you taking care of yourself. So, in this series you will see posts about skincare, healthy recipes, celery juicing, my go-to breakfasts, morning routines, workouts, fitness clothes, and so much more! I’m sure a lot of you made resolutions to cook more or take better care of your skin or workout more. So, I want this series to help make those goals more attainable + doable for you!
We also thought it would be fun to add a weekly giveaway to this series! So every Wednesday we’re going to try and have a correlating giveaway with whatever wellness topic I’m covering that day. We’ll be teaming up with some of my favorite protein bar companies, fitness apparel, skincare, and so much more to give away some amazing prizes! So definitely stay tuned for that!
Wellness to me means getting into a routine where you learn to take care of your mind, body, and soul to the best of your ability. I’m really excited to share some of my wellness habits and routines with you guys through this series. I’d also love to hear from y’all as we continue to add ideas to the editorial calendar! On an unrelated topic, I was really excited to shoot this look for the blog because I’m obsessed with both this tunic sweater and these distressed jeans! These jeans are SUPER comfortable and stretchy, and I love the raw edge at the bottom! If you’re in between sizes, I’d suggest going down a size (I’m wearing the 0 for size reference). The tunic sweater is so soft, not itchy at all, and I love the length of it!
