one dress 3 ways

Now that spring is here, I wanted to talk about how to find versatile pieces for the season. I’m excited for today’s post because it’s something I haven’t done too often, but that I think y’all will really love! Today I’m sharing how to style one piece from my wardrobe, three different ways. I recently got this striped tank dress from Banana Republic, and today I’m showing y’all why it’s the perfect, versatile dress for the season! Hopefully this will help inspire you as your build you spring wardrobe and look for different ways to style your closet staples!

Part of why I chose this dress is because while it’s a great spring dress, you can also easily make it office appropriate. The material, neutral colors, and midi length make it so easy to dress up fro work. It also really transitions well from the office to date night, weekend plans, etc. First off, the dress has the most flattering fit. The column shape combined with the slightly thicker material makes for such a pretty silhouette on any body type. Plus, I love that it isn’t see through or too fitted at all. It’s just slightly fitted at the top so it doesn’t just ‘hang’ on you. Depending on your office dress code, you could style this dress under a beautiful trench coat like I did here, or even under a blazer and paired with your fave heels or mules. I absolutely love that this trench coat is a pretty blush color – it’s such a fun hint of color for spring + it’s a nice change from my go-to neutrals.

For a slightly more casual look, I paired the dress with this utility jacket. This is an outfit I would wear to grab lunch with friends on the weekend, go on a date with Michael, or even just make a quick run to our favorite coffee shop. A great utility jacket like this one is definitely a spring staple and something you can wear with SO many outfits. I love the cut and shape of it, and the quality of this one is incredible. It’s definitely a piece you can wear for years to come, and it looks adorable with this striped dress!  I wore these leather sandals for this outfit, but it would also look good with your favorite white sneakers!

Lastly, I love the way this dress looks by itself or with a jacket tied around your waist! Like I said above, this dress is SO flattering and not at all see through, so you can easily wear it without any additional layers (especially my Dallas girls – I know spring can be toasty!). I think that the stripes + the midi length are statement enough, that the dress really stands well alone. Plus, the neutral stripes make it really easy to accessorize if you want to! This look is perfect for when it’s a little warmer outside and you may be enjoying happy hour on a patio or going to a cookout at a friend’s house. I love how it looks with wedges, sandals, sneakers, or flats!

I’ve been finding a lot of beautiful pieces for spring from Banana Republic, including all of the clothes + shoes in today’s post. I feel like Banana Republic is one of those stores I’ve been shopping at for years, but kind of rediscovered in the last year or so and totally fell in LOVE. They truly have everything from dresses and jackets to denim and accessories. Their styles are effortless, classy, and SO versatile. You can find everything from quality workwear to date night outfits to weekend wear. I’m kind of a dress kick right now, especially for spring, and have found so many good ones at Banana Republic! Here are a few more dresses I’m loving:
