So you guys know by now that I love to shop. I joke that shopping is my “spiritual gift” lol because I thoroughly enjoy it and feel like I’m pretty good at it. Finding the perfect rain jacket though has been something I’ve been on the hunt for for YEARS now. I’ve found a few that I like, but they either only work with dressed up type outfits, or with athletic outfits. And I’ve been searching for one that I can wear with everything and still feel feminine in! Y’all. I finally found THE PERFECT rain jacket and I’m so excited to share it with y’all! This is honestly something I’ve been searching for for a very long time and had zero luck until about a month ago when I found this north face beauty!
Let me tell you a few reasons why I’m so obsessed with this rain jacket. First of all, I love that this is a jacket you can wear year round. It’s really lightweight so it’s perfect for spring temperatures to help protect you from the wind, when there’s still a little chill in the air! You could also wear it over a parka or a fleece in the winter though – you can cinch down the cuff and the hood to keep you warm! And then the obvious reason why I love it is because of how well it protects you from rain! This jacket is made with fully sealed seams and a waterproof membrane, so you will for sure stay dry! But I also love how breathable it is. So many rain jackets feel almost suffocating to me, where all of your heat is trapped in. Even though this jacket is 100% waterproof, it still breaths so well so you don’t feel stuffy! Also, if you follow me on stories, y’all know how crazy windy it gets in Boulder so I personally love how windproof the jacket is as well.
Beyond the functionality of this rain jacket though, I LOVE how it looks! You know when you’re heading to work wearing nice clothes but it’s raining and you kind of have to ruin your outfit by throwing on a bulky boxy rain jacket? I love how sleek and stylish this jacket is! You can throw it on with everything from jeans and a t-shirt, over your workout clothes, or wear it to the office and your outfit will STILL look awesome, even with a rain jacket on! It’s the first rain jacket I’ve ever owned that serves ALL purposes of both functionality and fashion! And since the quality of this jacket is so amazing, I know this is an item I will wear for years to come!
