The past few days the weather has been GORGEOUS in Boulder! Like, 75 and sunny and absolutely perfect! I actually took Shiloh on our first run in the jogging stroller and she loved it. This weather has totally gotten be in the mood for summer, so today I wanted to share 3 things I’m excited about for this upcoming season! I could probably make a list 100 miles long because Colorado in the summer is true MAGIC! I love being able to enjoy the summer here – coming from Texas where summer is pretty miserably hot haha.
The first thing I’m really excited about is hiking! There are so many beautiful, amazing hikes all around Boulder Michael and I haven’t been since last summer! Once I got past 30 weeks pregnant, hiking in high altitude made me paranoid ha so I took a hiatus from hiking starting around 30 weeks. We got a hiking backpack that Michael will carry Shiloh in, so once the weather warms up a bit, we can’t wait to take her with us! (And Beau, of course). Hiking is one of my favorite things about living in Colorado, and I’m so excited to get to experience that with Shiloh this summer!
The next thing I’m excited about is hosting, which might sound super weird haha. But since Colorado is so amazing in the summers, we tend to have a lot of friends and family come stay with us, and it’s so much fun. I used to be pretty scared of hosting people just because I felt like I wasn’t a “good enough” hostess. I’ve really come to love it though because these long weekends with friends or family gives us such amazing quality time with our favorite people, that you don’t get just by going to dinner together!
The third thing I’m excited about for summer is summer clothes and accessories! Not gonna lie, I think fall is my favorite season when it comes to fashion…but summer is definitely second! I love wearing a good basic white top with jeans and spicing it up with some fun accessories, like this adorable wrap bracelet from Victoria Emerson. I especially love her bracelets because they give the look of a whole bracelet stack….when really, it’s all one piece! So simple and so cute.
