Step-by-step makeup routine:
First, we will start with the face.

I have been RAVING about this tatcha primer on my instagram stories for a few weeks now, and SO many of y’all have DM’d me saying you tried it and are equally as obsessed! I actually ordered two primers from sephora to test them both out, and this one won by a LANDSLIDE. Honestly I feel like MOST primers make zero difference whatsoever. And then I tried this one and my [makeup] world was rocked. This primer does exactly what it says it does: makes your face a silk canvas, prepping it for the rest of your makeup. This primer will blur all imperfections and make your skin feel insanely silky soft. It diminishes pores and fine lines and makes your face a smooth canvas to apply the rest of your makeup on. So, this is the first step in my makeup routine, and I just apply the primer with my fingers! [Just FYI, theres a limit of 3 Tatcha products per promotion code, but that honestly shouldn’t be a problem, since I’m only sharing two Tatcha faves in today’s post!]
The next step after primer is foundation. You guys know how much I love the Estee Lauder double wear foundation, but I’ve recently switched it up and have been loving the Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation. I actually prefer this in the spring / summer months because it seriously feels SO light – like you’re wearing nothing! The combination of this foundation plus the tatcha primer legit makes your face look and feel smooth as silk. I apply this foundation with a damp beauty blender as the next step in my makeup routine! [I wear shade 6.5 for reference].
Next, I apply concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles! I recently tried out this it cosmetics illuminating under eye and LOVED it! This concealer comes in a regular version too, but why would you not want under your eyes to be illuminated?! This concealer does an amazing job covering up any darkness under your eyes and it doesn’t crease or crack at all. Two other great things about it: it has collagen in it which supports skin elasticity, and it also has antioxidants in it which will protect that area from free radical damage! So, you’re basically killing two birds with one stone with this concealer! Highly recommend. I put a tiny bit on my ring finger, dab under my eyes, and then blend in with a damp beauty blender. [I wear shade ‘light’ for reference].

The next step has been a somewhat recent addition to my makeup routine, but TONS of y’all have messaged me asking “how do you get under your eyes so bright?!”. Partially, because the concealer I shared above is amazing. But I also started rubbing a damp beauty blender into this highlighter palette, and pressing under my eyes to set the concealer! It makes your concealer last longer and totally illuminates that area of your face! I also use this same palette to highlight my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose – using this brush. I’ve been using this highlighter palette for years now and I’m pretty sure it’ll always be in my makeup routine. It also lasts FOREVER!
Next, I apply my favorite bronzer in the world. Another one I have used for years and don’t plan on changing anytime soon! This is especially perfect for summer when you really want that sun-kissed glow. I love the color it gives my face and the glow, without being too shimmery. [I wear the shade ‘radiant bronze light’ for reference]. I apply my bronzer using this brush, which I refused to purchase for so long because of the price. After seeing SO many beauty influencers rave about it though, I decided to try it out and it is worth ALL the hype. Anytime I forget to bring it in my makeup bag and have to use another brush, I realize what a difference it makes. Makes your bronzer go on perfectly even and smooth…and it’s a brush that will last you forever if you take care of it.
After that, I apply blush using the other side of this brush that I shared above. I go back and forth between blushes, but I’m currently using this blush in the shade ‘orgasm’ and love it! This is a tried and true favorite of mine that I’ve used for years. I’ve tried other blushes that I like (I also love this charlotte tilbury blush!) but tend to keep going back to the nars blush!
So, that’s my entire “face” makeup routine. Then, I move onto eyes!
I had this eyeshadow palette on my birthday wishlist and my sister got it for me and I LOVE IT! First of all, I love how small it is so it’s great for travel. I got it in the color ‘minimalist’ and I love having an eye shadow palette where you actually use EVERY color in the palette! Typically I’ll have like one or two shades I like and then not use the others. But I actually use every color in this palette and they are all beautiful!
For brows, I started using this Dior brow pencil a few months back and it’s my favorite brow pencil I’ve ever tried! I wear the shade “universal dark brown”. I love it because the pencil is so thin, so the strokes look very natural / mimics how your brows grow!
I typically only wear eyeliner on my top eyelid, unless I’m going real dramatic, and my favorite is this benefit liquid eyeliner! I love this liner because it stays on forever and doesn’t smear at all. And if you’re afraid of liquid eyeliner, this one is SO easy to apply and goes on smoothly and beautifully!
I only wear mascara on my bottom lashes because I currently have lash extensions, but I’ve been loving this it cosmetics mascara! I actually got a free sample of it in one of my sephora packages and loved it so much, I bought the full size!
The last step of my makeup routine is lips! Obviously I’m always changing up my lip color, but I’ve really been loving a specific duo lately I wanted to share with y’all! So year round I am obsessed with the color ‘very victoria’ by Charlotte Tilbury. It is the perfect everyday neutral that goes with everything and gives your lips the perfect amount of color to look “done” without being too much. I’m convinced this shade is flattering on EVERYONE. It’s a gorgeous mauve nude that you really can wear from winter to summer. Recently, to lighten it up a bit for spring, I’ve been applying this gloss on top of it (in shade #1). Again, I think this is a combo that looks gorgeous on any skin tone!
