Last week I shared on my Instagram stories that I had recently gotten the Garmin vivomoveHR smart watch. I love the watch, but what blew me away was how many of y’all DM’d me saying you loved it too! I feel like I’m a little late to the party on this one lol. I also got tons of DM’s asking me about the watch, my review of it, what all it can do, etc., so I thought it would be helpful to put all of that into a post for y’all today! I feel like when it comes to items like smart watches (or really any technology), it can be super helpful to have someone else do some research for you and then walk you through their personal experience with it. So, hopefully today’s post will give a great idea as to what all the Garmin vivomoveHR smart watch can do, and why I think it’s such a great gift idea for Mother’s Day!

So for any of you that have been following the blog for a while, you’ll remember that I actually first got into Garmin watches whenever I was training for my first marathon almost two years ago.  I used a Garmin watch for all of my training and on my race day too. I had such a great experience with my Garmin watch then, that I was so excited when I saw they were introducing a lifestyle line of watches. These are essentially fashionable, versatile smart watches that fit perfectly into your everyday routine + wardrobe! The vivomoveHR watch is so cute, I honestly couldn’t tell it was even a smart watch when I first saw it! That to me is one of the strongest selling points to the watch, before I even go into all its capabilities + smart technology. It’s such a great accessory for everyday and it looks good with everything from workout wear to business casual looks. I personally haven’t changed out my bands too much, but I do like that they offer such a variety of materials and colors. It really gives it a lot of versatility! For workouts, I like to wear more silicone type materials but I also love the look of a classic leather band. And Garmin has all of those! So whether you’re heading into an office everyday or living in workout gear most days (guilty), this watch really can suit your lifestyle!

Ok, so now onto the capabilities of the watch and why I think it is SO helpful! Unlike some other smart watches, the Garmin vivomoveHR isn’t displaying your ‘smart’ info all of the time, even though it’s actively tracking it. I love this because like I said, it can look like a cute, normal analog watch but I can instantly check on my ‘stats’ just by tapping the face (see photos above). Like seriously, you would never know it’s a smart watch! I love it. My Garmin vivomoveHR watch tracks everything from my steps and calories to my heart rate all day long. One cool feature too is the “wellness monitoring” which can monitor both sleep and stress. It’s amazing! I can also check the weather on it anytime I need to. One of my favorite features, especially as a working momma, is that I can check my texts on the watch too. It is SO convenient and definitely one of the features I utilize most often. The vivomoveHR watch also works with all of the apps on my phone which is amazing!

Sometimes I think smart watches and their technology can seem a little overwhelming or geared towards more of a super tech savvy audience. Y’all, I am not some huge tech nerd and I’m no expert when it comes to those things. So when I’m looking for a smart watch, I want something that truly suits my lifestyle: I want it to be super functional, but not confusing or difficult to navigate. I want it to simplify things, not complicate them. Plus, for my job as a working / stay at home mom, I need a watch that I can wear with pj’s or workout clothes, but is also cute enough to dress up with looks for the blog. The Garmin vivomoveHR watch is seriously all of the above and that’s why I think it is SUCH a good Mother’s Day gift! It’s perfect for the new mom, working mom, mom of grown kids, and everything in between! Plus, right now Garmin is running a special for Mother’s Day that gives you $50 off the vivomoveHR now until 5/11. So if you’ve been struggling to think of a good Mother’s Day gift and want to give something that your mom (or bff that’s a new mom!) will love, I definitely think this watch is such a great gift idea.
