Over the last two years, I’ve really developed a love (or really, obsession) for skincare especially. I feel like once I hit my mid-twenties I kinda realized it was time to get serious about my skincare routine, but I just had no clue where to start. What products do I use? Does it matter what I order I apply them in? How should my nighttime routine be different from my morning routine? And after sharing tons of skincare content on here, I learned that y’all also have so many questions about skincare! So over the last two years I’ve really made it a priority to research the ins and outs of good skincare, especially for women in their twenties and thirties. I really love that my job allows me ot research + recommend different products. When it comes to skincare, everyone has different concerns, budgets, and priorities. So my goal is to highlight a wide array of products that I firmly believe in and recommend to y’all, even if I maybe don’t personally use them every single day in my own routine. Cause let’s be real, I can’t use ALL the products ALL the time (although that sounds kind of amazing haha).
Today I want to highlight a few products from a brand y’all already know I love and believe in – Elemis. I’ve shared about Elemis before (see this post), but they have tons of amazing skincare products for every need. The products I’m sharing today are part of their Peptide 24/7 line which focuses on multi-tasking products that work all day and follow/address the natural rhythms of your own skin. It’s amazing! They essentially formulated the products to follow your body’s natural internal clock, and to address all of the needs of your skin throughout the day. So whether it’s excess oil in the middle of the day (anyone else get extra shine around 2pm?) or nighttime dryness (gimme allll the hydration), the Peptide 24/7 products are aimed at tackling your skin’s every need no matter what time of day. It’s perfect for helping refresh and revitalize tired looking skin to its natural glow!
Some faves from the Elemis Peptide 24/7 line:
The first product I started trying a few weeks ago is the adaptive day cream. Y’all this stuff is light as a feather and feels SO good on your skin. It’s a mousse like consistency, which I love because I feel like so many moisturizers are a little too heavy for my skin. This priming moisturizer is the perfect boost of hydration. One thing that I think really sets it apart as a moisturizer is that it also kind of serves as a primer, in that it blurs imperfections and balances your skin’s tone and texture. I also love that it can both deliver extra hydration AND help absorb any excess oil. So many moisturizers focus completely on delivering intense hydration, which can result in a super oily complexion either immediately or later on in the day. I didn’t have that problem once with this day cream! My skin had a really balanced complexion throughout the day. I recommend using this as your morning moisturizer. And honestly, you only need a pea sized amount – a little goes a long way!
When I first read the name of the product and before I even read what all it did, I was like umm.. sign me up. Doesn’t a plumping pillow facial just sound like a dream?! This facial is essentially an overnight mask that both hydrates + plumps the skin. You apply it as the last step in your nighttime skincare routine and then rinse it off first thing in the morning. Moisture is one of the moist essential pieces to having a youthful, glowing complexion. Anytime your skin is dehydrated, it instantly gives you a more aged, tired look.
Y’all know I am always looking for good face masks and this one quickly became a new favorite! I’ve honestly never used a face mask quite like this thousand flower mask. First off, it’s made with everything from flower buds to nutrient-rich soil. I know, that may sound kind of odd right off the bat but I’m telling you it is such a great mask for your skin! You can use this about 2-3 times a week and it works well on all skin types. It majority replenishes moisture and antioxidants to your skin, resulting in a smoother, more healthy looking complexion. Pro tip: don’t forget to use all skincare products (including masks!) down to your neck. That skin also needs all the TLC!
I’ll be honest: I’ve used a ton of eye creams and found a lot of them to be extremely disappointing. They feel nice to apply, but they don’t end up making any noticeable difference in the long run. But this eye recovery cream legit works, y’all. It helps with everything from puffiness to dark circles to even those fine lines/crows feet around the eye area. I would say I noticed a difference within the first two weeks of using it. I kind of geeked out when researching this product, so just bear with me haha. I would say the ingredients in Elemis products are what majorly set it apart from other skincare lines. Elemis is the first company to use this oil from the night scented stock flower, which is loaded up with fatty acids and vitamin E. Those ingredients (which are in this eye cream and I think some other products too!) are majorly essential for any skincare routine! They help restore elasticity and balance out your skin’s texture. Anytime you’re using an eye cream, be sure to pat it in rather than simply rubbing it into your skin.
I hope y’all enjoy this beauty product reviews! Like I said above, I feel like everyone has different goals and concerns when it comes to skincare, so I just want to highlight a wide array of products/brands that I love and feel confident recommending to y’all!
This post was created in collaboration with Elemis. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
