By now y’all probably know which brands and stores I shop at the most. Whether it’s Madewell or Lululemon, once I find a brand I love I am insanely loyal to it. It’s just always a bummer when you try to branch out from your go-to’s, and then you end up disappointed and wishing you had stuck to what you know you love. It’s like when you go to your fave restaurant, force yourself to change up your order, and then you have al the regret that you didn’t get your usual. BUT on the flip side, there is nothing better than when you discover a new brand or store (or entree lol) that you absolutely love and know you’ll be loyal to forever. That is how I feel about today’s post and the shoes I am so pumped to share with y’all. The booties + heels in today’s post are Tamara Mellon and I had to share why they are my latest obsession. I’m not sure how many of y’all are familiar with Tamara Mellon – it’s fairly new to me! – so I wanted to use today’s blog post to share my latest shoe crush with y’all.
The older I’ve gotten and the longer I’ve been working in fashion, the more I’ve learned the importance and value of investing in quality wardrobe pieces. To clarify, I don’t think every single piece in your wardrobe needs to be an investment piece. I have plenty of tops and accessories under $40 that I love, but I typically don’t wear for more than one or maybe two seasons. Shoes are definitely something I am willing to invest in if the pair is right. When it comes to really good quality shoes, I absolutely think it’s worth investing in pairs you know will last you for years to come. I had heard really great things about Tamara Mellon for a while, but wasn’t until earlier this year that I finally gave her shoes a shot. And oh my word, I can’t even put into words how much I love these shoes.
Let’s start with these beautiful booties. With fall right around the corner, I was so excited to find a pair of bootie I loved and would be able to wear with anything, for anything. So first off, we’ll start with the style + look of these booties. The rich brown color could not be more stunning. It’s a shade of tan that will easily go with everything in your closet. The suede is such good, beautiful quality that I feel like these boots also make a statement. I loved them the second I saw them! Okay secondly, these booties feel AMAZING on your feet. They are so comfortable. I have worn these for hours at a time with plenty of walking, and they never once irritated my feet. I can’t recommend these booties enough! They’re a slightly different style than I’m normally drawn to, but I like the subtle western look and the feel of the soft stretch suede. I love that they make a statement without being overly trendy. Plus, the lower heel makes these booties especially comfortable and easy to walk in!
Tamara Mellon also makes the most perfect high heels. To be totally honest, I rarely invest in high heels because most of the time, I kind of dread wearing them. It’s hard to find any that are beautiful, comfortable, and will last you for years. BUT then I found these nude heels and they literally accomplish all of those things. They’re a great, classic nude so you can wear them with everything, year round. I love the subtle touch of the clear straps – it kind of sets them apart from being just another nude pump. The heel length is just right – they majorly elongate your legs without completely killing your feet. These heels would be so perfect for date night or any upcoming weddings you have! These heels have definitely become my new go-to heels for any special event or dinner out with the hubby!
So if your shoe collection is needing an upgrade or you’re tired of throwing out shoes after just a few wears, I seriously can’t recommend Tamara Mellon enough. All of her shoes are made with the utmost attention to detail and only the finest quality materials. These are shoes you buy once and wear a million times for years to come.
