Believe it or not, some of the most frequently asked questions I get are related to Colorado! I feel so blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places in the country – somewhere that a lot of people travel to for vacation. Colorado in the fall is one of the most magical things you will ever see, so I wanted to share with you guys a little Colorado packing list, in case any of you are planning a trip up here this season!
If you’re planning a trip to Colorado (or anywhere in the mountains) this fall, Backcountry is going to be your one stop shop for ANYTHING you need. I love shopping at Backcountry because you can find what you need to have dinner out in a mountain town, OR what you’ll need for an all day weekend hike, all in one place.
Colorado (Denver in particular) is a really special place because you can hit up some amazing restaurants and shops one day, and hit the trails the next – giving you both city and mountain options! If you plan on coming to Colorado this fall, make sure you bring layers & items that can transition from hikes to restaurants. I love this Patagonia vest because it’s a perfect layer for hiking, as the temperatures are cooler in the early morning, but it’s also so cute paired with denim when you’re going to brunch!
Something else that can be tricky when you’re packing for a Colorado trip is footwear! Backcountry has SO many great options when it comes to shoes for a Colorado trip! I’m obsessed with this Sorel boot I just got from Backcountry. I love how they look with denim, but you could also pair them with leggings for a quick hike or stroll around the lake. I love that they are both functional AND stylish. They are waterproof and you can wear them year round!
This long sleeve henley is another great piece to back for a trip to Colorado! It’s so cute on its own, but also a great layering top to wear underneath a vest or a weatherproof jacket. You could wear this long sleeve top with leggings for lounging around the cabin you’re staying in, or wear it with jeans for a dinner out on the town! It’s so soft and I love the length of it!
