Most of you guys know I was born and raised in Texas, so to be honest, I never really understood the importance of a good winter coat until we moved to Colorado. I would pretty much buy anything that looked cute, and didn’t really worry about quality or functionality. Then, we moved to Colorado and I realized that having a good winter coat is a GAME CHANGER when you live in cold weather! When we moved here about 3 years ago, I did tons of research on the best winter coats. I knew I wanted something that would keep me warm, that would last for years to come but also look great with a wide range of outfits. After doing a ton of research, I found two North Face coats I fell in love with! While I was researching different brands, I was blown away with the hundreds of raving reviews I read about The North Face. In my experience, the quality of their outerwear is unparalleled and I also LOVE how their coats look.
I got this parka when I was researching best coats for REALLY cold weather – ie Colorado winters. It comes in 5 colors but I fell in love with this ‘cedar brown’ color because I think it’s so unique! I love the relaxed fit of it and the removable hood. It’s also insanely warm, water repellant, wind resistant, and keeps me so warm and cozy even in the snow! Whenever you invest in a winter coat, you want to know that you’ll get your money’s worth. And I’m here to tell y’all, this parka is worth every penny, especially if you live somewhere cold. I’m honestly a wimp with cold weather and this parka has made the Colorado winters so much more enjoyable!
The other coat I got from The North Face is this amazing Eco Parka! I love this coat for both fall and winter – it serves the purpose of a warm winter coat or just a nice extra layer depending on the temps! It comes in 6 colors but I was in love with this matte shine color! This coat is designed more for the city but will still keep you super warm on your commute! AND it’s made from recycled content!
I also love The North Face this time of year because their products make for the BEST gifts! If you’re buying for someone who lives somewhere cold, or who travels, loves adventure, lives an active lifestyle…they will love anything you gift them from The North Face! I’ve rounded up a few of my current favorites from North Face below that would make for great gifts! I either HAVE these items already and love them, or they are on my own wishlist!
If you’ve been in the market for the BEST winter coat, that you can wear for years to come, I hope this post made your shopping a little easier!
