I can’t believe today is CHRISTMAS EVE and this Christmas season is almost over! Christmas truly is one of my favorite times of year for a lot of reasons – one of which being, I LOVE helping you guys Christmas shop and creating gift guides! It’s a lot of fun for me and I love making your Christmas shopping a little bit easier.
I hope my gift guides helped make your shopping a little bit easier, or that my holiday outfit posts gave you some fun ideas for what to wear this holiday season. But more than anything…I hope today (and throughout the rest of this holiday) you take time to pause and remember what we are really celebrating all December long. Christmas is one of the most magical times of year not because of the shopping and the lights and the parties…but because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus! Over 2,000 years ago, the son of God came down to earth, to be born in the most unglamorous, humble way…born in a manger, so that He could one day die for us, and save us from our sins. Because He loves us and wants us to live for all eternity with Him. I know that story might sound cliche to you if you grew up in church…but I hope you take time today to pause and realize how not cliche it is and how personal Christmas story really is. Jesus came down to earth for you, because He loves YOU that much.
I hope you take time over these next few days to “go off the grid” for a bit! We will be in Texas for the next week celebrating Christmas with our families, and I’m really looking forward to some downtime, “not on my phone time”, in sweatpants just spending time with the people that I love most, celebrating the birth of our Savior!
