I’ll be real with y’all. I think dressing for this time of year is WEIRD. It’s probably still cold where you’re living (unless you live in Florida maybe haha) but since spring and summer are around the corner, you probably don’t want to invest in a bunch of cold weather stuff right now. So today I thought it might be helpful for y’all if I share a few wardrobe staples to help you transition your wardrobe to spring! These are all items you can wear now while it’s cold, but style differently (with spring pieces) and wear them in warmer months as well! So these are pieces you can buy now, wear now, AND wear into spring!
When it comes to transitioning your wardrobe, lightweight sweaters will be your best friend. This sweater I’m wearing today is perfect because you can wear it now while it’s cold with skinny jeans and boots, but easily pair it with denim shorts and sandals once temps start warming up! It’s so lightweight, soft, and I love the loose fit!
Another key to transition your wardrobe into spring is lightwash denim. You can wear them now but also into spring and summer with your bright tops and tees. The pair I’m wearing in today’s post is an investment but, I bought them in December and have worn them probably 100 times since then! I LOVE the lightwash – they will be the perfect summer jean – and I love that they’re distressed without being TOO torn up, you know? If you’re in a place to splurge on jeans…this pair is worth the splurge IMO.
I also think that a good cutout bootie is essential for going from winter to spring! Y’all have seen me post this pair from Nordstrom probably 6,000 times since this I got them last JULY haha. The little cutout in these makes them very spring-friendly and they look really cute with denim shorts too! They come in a million colors now and currently on sale. I can’t recommend these enough – so comfortable and you can literally wear them year round!

As y’all can see from this post…I’ve been shopping for all my spring transitional pieces from Nordstrom!
