Y’all know by now that overall my style is pretty casual and it isn’t often that I get totally dressed up. I just love casual, everyday outfits that work for everything from coffee with friends to making a quick grocery run. Like if I could wear a t-shirt and jeans every single day, I would haha. And to be honest, most days that’s exactly what I wear! So I’ve learned that the right shoes and accessories are key when it comes to dressing up jeans a tee. They can really make all the difference! So today I wanted to share some of my faves and talk about how to dress up ripped jeans and a tee!
During the spring and summer, I find myself wearing more casual jeans than I do any other time of year. Give me all of the light wash, ripped jeans! They’re just the perfect casual denim for any spring or summer outfit. Distressed jeans are definitely more of a casual look though, so I am always trying to find the right shoes to dress them up for dinner or a night out with friends. For an everyday causal look, I almost always wear white sneakers or a pair of flat sandals. But I also like having the versatility to dress up my fave jeans with different shoes/sandals. Not anything TOO dressy, but something you can wear to dinner and feel more put together. I’m a huge fan of a block heel sandal and these ones have been a recent fave of mine! Y’all, I am convinced every woman needs these sandals in her closet! They feel really good on your feet; the block heel makes them especially comfortable / easy to walk in.
Another reason I am obsessed with these sandals is that they are so versatile. The suede is a really beautiful neutral, so you can wear them with any outfit. These shoes are great for grabbing margs with friends, running to the mall, or even pairing with a dress for a spring wedding! I feel like every year once the temperatures warm up, I try to find a good pair of heeled sandals that I can wear for everything. It’s one style of shoe that I LOVE and find I really get the most wear out of. I think sometimes when the weather warms up, it can be a little harder to figure out how to ‘dress up’. It can be so easy and tempting to just wear t-shirts and jeans/cutoff denim shorts every day. And don’t get me wrong, I love that! It’s basically my uniform haha. I’ve really found that the right pair of shoes + the perfect bag can make a casual outfit – like ripped jeans and a tee – instantly more dressed up!
