Summer is officially upon us and the heat is REAL in Dallas y’all! I was born and raised in Texas but Michael and I moved to Colorado for 3 years and just moved back this past February. So, this is our first summer back in Texas in a while and I’ll be honest…I have become a wimp with this heat haha. It definitely makes getting dressed a bit trickier. I’ve been living in really great summer staples like these denim shorts + this tank because it’s an easy, casual yet chic summer look and also keeps you cool!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know Everlane is one of my go-to brands and tbh, makes up the majority of my closet. I love that they have quality, timeless staples for your wardrobe but at a super reasonable price! I’m obsessed with the fit of these denim shorts and they are under $60! I got them in two colors because I loved them so much! For size reference – I found them to run true to size (I’m wearing the 25). I’m 5’7 so I have a hard time finding denim shorts that are long enough, but not TOO long and these are right in that sweet spot!
I’m all about fun summer trends (hello tie dye and neon!) but I think having good, quality summer staples in your wardrobe is KEY! You can mix and match these pieces in so many different ways, and you’ll be able to wear them year after year! I layered this tank under a cardigan with a pair of skinny jeans, paired it with a fun summer skirt…there are so many different ways to wear it and the fit is super flattering!
