Y’all I still cannot get over the fact that we are almost in OCTOBER! Like…WHAT?! My sister and I were making plans for the weekend and my first idea was “we could go to the pool?” and then it occurred to me that we are now in the end of September haha. Now that we’re getting close to October though…I’m getting so excited for all of the fall activities! Shiloh is at such a fun stage now where she can enjoy some fun fall outings…so today I wanted to share 5 fall activities we are looking forward to in the Sims’s household!
1. pumpkin patch
As basic as it sounds, I’m so excited to take Shiloh to a pumpkin patch! We didn’t do this last year in Colorado so I’m hoping we find a cute one here in Dallas and go with some of Shiloh’s cousins! Definitely want to pick out a few for our front porch and of course…take all the pic baby pics in a pumpkin patch haha. Just sets the mood for fall, you know?!
2. football games
Most of you guys know Michael and I both graduated from Baylor, and before we moved to Colorado we loved going to all of the home games! Now that we are back in Dallas, we’re so excited to go down to Waco for a few games. Things are obviously much different with football season this year…but regardless, Baylor football is always such a huge part of our fall season and I’m really excited to hopefully go to a few games with Michael, Shiloh, and Michael’s family! Also just looking forward to watching games at home, making chili in our instant pot, and having friends over!
3. charleston
Michael’s birthday is actually tomorrow, and I planned a surprise trip for the two of us to go to Charleston next week! (We leave on Monday). Well…it was a surprise until I accidentally spilled the beans to him a few nights ago haha. But regardless! We are both so excited for that trip! Both of our moms will be keeping Shiloh while we have a special trip to celebrate his birthday! We’ve only been to Charleston one time and it was for a wedding…so we didn’t really get to explore much, but I’ve heard such great things about the city! 4. Shiloh’s birthday
Can you guys believe Shiloh will turn two end of October?! like WHAT? What is time?! Even though I kind of want to cry thinking about my baby turning two…I’m also so excited to celebrate her with our families! Not sure what we’ll do for it yet but I’m looking forward to celebrating our girl with a fun fall birthday party. So beyond thankful for her life!
5. weekends at the lake
Most of you guys know my parents have a lakehouse in East Texas and fall is one of my favorite times of year out there! The leaves are all changing, mornings are crisp, and drinking my coffee out on their porch looking at the lake is so peaceful. Going for walks out there in the fall is also beautiful and we just have a blast there with my entire family. Looking forward to the memories (and relaxation) we will have out there this fall!

I am also SO EXCITED for fall clothes! I just got this gorgeous floral maxi dress and couldn’t believe it was under $60! The quality is SO good! Like the dress does not wrinkle, it’s not see through, and has such a flattering fit! I am for sure bringing this to Charleston next week slash wearing it constantly this fall! I bought it from Mango which tbh seems kind of like a random store to me haha but I have actually been LOVING their stuff recently! I feel like they have really great basics yet, elevated basics if that makes sense…but for really reasonable prices, considering how amazing the quality is!
