How To Style a Blazer 5 Ways

It’s officially blazer season ya’ll! Over the last few years blazers have become one of my staple wardrobe items. You can dress them up, dress them down, wear them with sneakers or booties, style up leggings or add some structure to distressed denim… the possibilities are endless!

In my opinion one of the best things about a blazer is that it’s light enough to wear on its own or under a coat, which makes it a piece that seamlessly transitions from fall to winter. I also love how I can throw on a blazer and take any look from casual to menswear chic with minimal effort.

Today I’m taking my new favorite Abercrombie wool blazer coat (I’m obsessed!!) and giving ya’ll five different looks that might inspire you to style up your favorite blazer this autumn.

look 1: date night // wear to work

A lot of people think of a blazer and an office setting and envision ugly suits from the 80’s haha! But that is so far from how you can style a blazer these days. I love this look because it’s classy and dressy, and you could wear it from the your desk to a dinner date. If you think you’ve seen this top before, you’re right! During the Nordstrom sale I snagged this little tank in at least three colors and I love how versatile it is! Complete the look with a warm cashmere scarf in the colder months and you’re set for a night on the town with your man!

look 2: everyday casual

I love look 2 because you can keep the comfort without sacrificing the style! A blazer plus a baseball cap is the perfect menswear combo, in my book. I would wear this outfit to run errands, to brunch, on a casual date night… basically anywhere! These leather leggings are one of my most worn items for years now and I love how they look with this coat. You will definitely see me in this ensemble in the months to come!

look 3: weekend style

Okay this might be my favorite look out of all five! You seriously can’t go wrong with distressed denim and a structured jacket. I like to style a soft plaid button down with leather jackets, denim jackets, blazers, cardigans… the layering possibilities are infinite! Pair that with some sneakers and it’s the ultimate casual + cute look for a fall weekend out with friends!

look 4: brunch // girls night

I know ya’ll saw this sweater dress recently on my Instagram and my latest amazon round-up, but I just can’t get enough of it! It’s unbelievably comfy and you can wear it so many ways. I love how it looks paired with chunky boots and statement accessories! Perfect for brunch, girls night, date night and more!

look 5: fall family outing

Last but not least, the outfit you’ve seen in all the pictures in this post! So comfy and effortless. I think an outfit like this is perfect for a fall family outing, but honestly you could wear it anywhere! I like to mix and match patterns and textures like wool, stripes, leather and suede. Top it off with statement sunglasses and earrings to complete the classic but casual look!

Which look was your favorite? Leave a comment below and let me know! I might be biased, but I think they’re all so cute and perfect for fall. Be sure to follow along on my IG for more ways that I’ll be sure to style this wool blazer coat! Happy Monday you guys, thank you for reading!
