The holidays definitely look different for all of us this year, but rather than focusing on all of the things that I might miss or wish were like years past – I’m choosing to make a point to focus on all of my blessings! There is so much to celebrate this year, despite setbacks or hard ships, so that is what we are planning to do! To make this Christmas season extra memorable and festive, I’ve decided to have a little bit of fun, put some makeup on, dress in an outfit that makes me feel beautiful and enjoy the holiday season with the ones I love most!
Honestly, we could all use some days of pampering and makeup, right? It feels so good to get dressed up after being in loungewear for the majority of the year haha! I know that it might feel a little out of the ordinary when you don’t have a holiday event or party on the calendar, but I promise you once you get dolled up and turn it into a celebratory night you’ll be so glad you did!
Even if you can’t be with your typical group of family and friends, I encourage you to celebrate at home – whether that’s via Zoom, FaceTime, with your roommate or husband or with family that lives close by! Send and E-vite and have everyone get dressed up in their holiday best, pour some Christmasy cocktails and cheers to health and happiness in the New Year! Here are some of my favorite holiday outfit ideas that I’m loving this season, whether you’re wearing them for a night out or a night around the house! I found this sequined top at H&M, also seen in the collage above, and I couldn’t believe what a great price it was, literally less than $20! I immediately snatched it up for my at home festivities! I love the drapey style and how perfect it is for layering with a structured blazer or dark denim and a leather jacket! You could even wear it into the spring and summer for a date night with denim shorts. Also these leather pants are basically like chic joggers and I’m obsessed! The ones I’m wearing are from Madewell with a paperbag fit, but I also found this super similar pair from Abercrombie and I love the belt detail – both pairs are under $100!
What are your holiday plans? Are you hosting a festive zoom dinner date or Christmas cocktail hour? Let’s choose to make the most of this season and celebrate our blessings, big and small! Comment below and let me know what you’re up to this year! Thanks for reading you guys!
