This is one of my most highly requested posts that I’ve been putting off for months now haha because of how much WORK goes into putting together my capsule wardrobe essentials! A capsule wardrobe is essentially the best basics in your wardrobe that you can mix and match and style lots of different ways. For my summer wardrobe those items include:
- T-shirt dress
- White denim
- Denim shorts
- Basic tee

- light to medium wash denim
- + shoes: slide sandals + white sneakers
So today I wanted to share with you guys the 10 items that make up my summer capsule wardrobe! No matter what type of outfit I’m wearing, I can guarantee you that one of these items is included in almost any outfit that I wear. Most of these items are tried + true faves that I’ve had for YEARS and still wear all the time! So, the price point is high on some of these products but the point is that you can do MORE with less – you can style each of these items SO many different ways and they will last you years to come.

This Madewell tee is the perfect basic everyday tee, especially if you prefer your t-shirts to fit a little loose. It's flattering on its own, not too tight, doesn't show any weird lines underneath, but also layers really well underneath jackets so you can definitely wear year round. I'm wearing the size XS!

I have them dressed down here with slide sandals but they're also perfect with heels and a body suit for a more dressed up look! They fit TTS (I'm wearing the size 25).

Having a good t-shirt dress in your summer wardrobe is KEY because you will get so much use out of it. When it's super hot I love having something easy to 'throw on and go' and the little ruffle at the bottom adds just a little feminine touch! You can wear with sandals or sneakers and also looks so cute with a denim jacket. I'm wearing the size XS!

Another madewell item in my summer wardrobe collection - I have this tank in at least 5 colors and wear it ALL the time. So cute on its own with denim shorts for an easy summer outfit but you can also layer underneath cardigans and jackets into the fall. I like that it's a v-neck without being too low cut! Fit is slightly oversized - I'm wearing the XS!

My first pair of high top sneakers and I can't believe I waited this long !!! These shoes make me SO happy! They instantly elevate any outfit while still being very classic, versatile, and comfortable. They go great with denim and dresses and fit true to size.

A classic white button down shirt is a must for your summer wardrobe. You can dress it up for the office or dress it down for everyday / weekend wear. I love this one from Madewell because the quality is incredible, it's not see through, and I love the oversized fit of it. I'm wearing the size XS.

IYKYK. I've been raving about these denim shorts for probably 4 years now. They are hands down the best denim shorts I've ever purchased - the quality will last you for years, they are the perfect length (not too long, not too short) and so flattering.
