the whole family is getting together at the lake house for 4th of July this year and i am so excited!! as i mentioned in last week’s post, 4th of July is one my fave holidays to celebrate! i love the sunshine, the fun and maybe most of all…the FOOD!
i’m trying out some new recipes this year (wish me luck) and thought i’d share some inspiration with you in case you wanted to adventure out too!
drinks
our neighbor recommended this cocktail mixer to us and y’all… it’s delicious. i love it because it has fun flavors, no artificial ingredients and i can easily make a mocktail by simply adding topo chico to it.
to make a margarita michael will mix 3 oz of Tepetán + 2 oz of Casamigos Tequila.
appetizers
i cook a lot of recipes from Defined Dish and not too long ago she launched a sauce line called SideDish. y’all…they are delicious and make for such easy cooking + clean up. i’m choosing a lot of recipes using SideDish for my 4th of july recipe roundup because i think it’ll make feeding a large family much less chaotic.
#1 – Dairy Free Chipotle Chicken-Stuffed Bacon Jalapeños — so spicy, so good.
#2 –Mexican Inspired Street Corn Dip — pair with the Siete Dip Chips
#3 – Peach Burrata & Prosciutto Salad — spotted this recipe on pinterest and i can’t wait to try it. it looks so summery + fresh!
entrees
#1 – honey dijon glazed ribs for the adults and honey dijon ham & cheese sliders for the kiddos using honey dijon by SideDish.
#2 – crockpot chicken taco bowls — i love a good crockpot recipe, it’s hand off/we can have this cooking while we take the boat out.
#3 – grilled salmon tacos — another Defined Dish i can’t wait to try, you literally cannot go wrong with any of her recipes! if you don’t have a grill, she also has a great blackened salmon taco recipe.
#4 – Chipotle Ranch Steak Bowl — this recipe only take 30 min to make 4 servings and is so fresh/tasty!
sides
#1 – Cajun Okra Fries for the adults + tater tots in the air fryer for the kids
#2 – Avocado Salad
#3 – Potato Salad — i mean we have to keep some 4th of july recipe classics in the mix!
desserts
#1 – Paleo Berry Cobbler — bring on the red, white + blue desserts! this recipe is paleo too which is great if you’re cooking for any gluten-free friends/family.
#2 – No-Bake Butterfinger bites — i think no-bake desserts are so easy for holiday cooking when you already have a million things baking in the oven.
#3 – No-Bake Coconut Cookies — this no-bake recipe you can make ahead of time or easily transport it to a 4th of july party. the best part is these cookies are guilt-free, gluten-free and rich in fiber!
