at the start of every season i try and take an inventory of my closet to figure out how i’m doing with ‘staples’. i love a good trend as much as the next girl but having staple items in your wardrobe is key for being able to mix and match and make your wardrobe go SO much further. for example, if you’re loving the ‘butter yellow’ trend right now and bought a really fun yellow top…having your holy grail denim shorts in your closet to pair them with is key!
so today i wanted to round up for you guys what my spring wardrobe staples are! all of these items for the most part are things that i’ve had in my closet for years that i come back to over and over again. or they are new sandals i maybe bought this year that i know will go with 100 different outfits this season!

i love having one go-to blouse in my wardrobe that works for sunday morning church, a work brunch event, or dressed up for date night and this eyelet blouse is perfect for all of those. it's classy yet fashion-forward and has such a flattering fit. i love how this looks with jeans or denim shorts or even white denim for a monochromatic look.

i bought this bag in brown this past fall and it was the perfect everyday bag but also totally easy to dress up for a night out. so i bought the ivory one for spring and LOVE. this is a designer-inspired bag but for a super reasonable price point and the quality is so good. the size is perfect for everyday but not TOO big to where you couldn't dress it up! you can wear it on your shoulder, carry by the handle, or wear it crossbody. such a great amazon find!

i have a few favorite pair of denim shorts but this pair of abercrombie is high on the list and a super reasonable price point. i borderline LIVE in denim shorts in the spring and summer so having a pair that you feel your best in is key! i love this pair because they are high waisted, they're not too short, and not too long. they don't look 'mom-ish' if that makes sense, but still super functional and practical for everyday mom life! finding a pair of denim shorts that's flattering but still comfortable is not easy and these check all the boxes for me.

if you've been following me for a while, you know i LOVE a good jeans and a tee type of outfit. anytime i do a 'closet cleanout' i have so many basic tees that i need to get rid of haha because I'm forever buying a new one trying to find THE one. this one from abercrombie has been my go-to for years now. it's somewhat fitted without being too tight. it's soft, doesn't show weird bra lines underneath. not cropped, not too long. really checks all the boxes. looks so cute on it's own but great for layering underneath a flannel or denim jacket!
