There are so many benefits to being self-employed and getting to run this blog for a living. It truly is my dream job and I am so thankful! Being a self-employed blogger though definitely has it’s challenges too. For instance – there are #NoSickDays from this job. Part of the challenge of blogging means you always need to be on – ready for photos, going to events, and looking your best, which is why I am so thankful for NyQuil and DayQuil SEVERE on days when I’m not feeling 100%.

When I wake up with a sore throat or runny nose, or feel run over by a truck…spending the day in bed isn’t really an option for me. I make myself a cup of hot tea, take DayQuil SEVERE and am totally able to power through! Within a half hour or so I’m in my office, answering e-mails, scheduling events, and styling an outfit for a photoshoot (all the while, staying comfy in my favorite robe!).

People say that the key to getting over a cold/flu is rest. But this is such a catch 22! If your nose is stuffed up and you’re coughing through the entire night, sleeping isn’t necessarily easily. I swear by NyQuil SEVERE when I’m sick. It helps me sleep through the entire night, giving my body the rest it needs to get better! Another reason I love NyQuil SEVERE as opposed to other drowsy medication or sleep aids is that I don’t wake up feeling totally groggy. I feel so rested and can quickly notice that my body is already starting to recover.
