At-Home Beauty Devices That are Worth the Money

As someone who really prioritizes skincare—and tests a lot of products—I’ve tried more at-home skincare devices than I can count. Some are absolutely worth the investment, while others, honestly, aren’t doing enough to justify the price.

The products you use consistently will always be the foundation of a good skincare routine. Think of devices and tools as the icing on the cake: they can enhance your results, but they can’t replace quality products you use day in and day out.

That said, there are a handful of at-home devices I truly believe have made a noticeable difference in the health and appearance of my skin. Today, I’m sharing the five I use regularly and genuinely think are worth the money—especially when it comes to texture, hydration, puffiness, and that overall healthy glow.

The Shark FacialPro is basically the closest thing I’ve found to getting a Hydrafacial at home. The resurfacing attachment exfoliates, clears out the buildup in your pores, and then infuses hydration back into your skin—so you’re left looking smoother, clearer, and glowy instead of stripped or dry. It also includes a hot-and-cold therapy attachment that helps reduce puffiness and support lymphatic drainage. With consistent use, I’ve noticed an improvement in the appearance of my pores, my skin’s texture, puffiness, and overall glow. I use the resurfacing attachment about once every two weeks, while the hot-and-cold therapy has become an almost-daily part of my routine.

The Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro is basically an all-in-one skincare device with four different modes. Booster Mode helps your skincare absorb more effectively and boosts radiance; MC Mode uses microcurrent to firm and plump; Derma Shot Mode uses EMS to help lift and contour; and Air Shot Mode targets the appearance of pores and uneven texture. It also incorporates LED light and sonic vibration, so you’re getting several different technologies in one device. I notice an immediate difference when I use it—my skin looks plumper, smoother, more lifted, and incredibly glowy, and with consistent use, I’ve noticed an improvement in my overall tone and texture too. And don’t be overwhelmed by all the different modes! It’s actually far easier to use than I thought it would be!

The CurrentBody red light mask is one of the easiest and most consistent parts of my skincare routine—I wear it almost every morning while I’m making breakfast and packing school lunches. Since I started using it regularly, I’ve noticed a more even skin tone, fewer breakouts, less redness, smoother texture, and an overall healthier glow. Red light therapy has so much research behind its ability to support collagen production and calm inflammation, but not all masks are created equal. This one is FDA-cleared and uses precise, clinically studied red and near-infrared wavelengths, which is why I feel confident that it’s actually doing something for my skin.

I know the Skinny Confidential Ice Roller isn’t technically a skincare “device,” but it absolutely deserves a spot on this list. The cold instantly wakes up my face, helps reduce puffiness, and makes my skin look more refreshed and sculpted—especially first thing in the morning or after a late night. It also feels amazing and is such a quick, easy step when my face just needs a little extra help!

The Barefaced Razor is an easy at-home dermaplaning tool that gently removes peach fuzz and the layer of dead skin sitting on the surface of your face. Dermaplaning consistently helps keep my skin looking brighter and smoother, allows my skincare to absorb more evenly, and makes my makeup apply so much better. I use it once a week, and my skin feels baby-soft and looks instantly more polished afterward.

At-home skincare devices aren’t a replacement for a consistent routine, but the right ones can absolutely take your results to the next level. These are the tools I genuinely use, love, and have seen a difference from—and the ones I truly believe are worth the investment. Let me know if you try any of them!
