When it comes to shopping, I am a creature of habit. If you look on the right sidebar of my blog you’ll see the places I shop most regularly. However, nothing brings me more joy than discovering a new brand that I genuinely love everything about, and Everlane is that brand for me right now.
First, let’s talk about Everlane style. Their tagline is “modern basics, radical transparency”. I don’t have a ton of pieces from Everlane (yet), but the ones I do have (the look pictured above + this sweater + this sweater), I practically live in. Whether Michael and I are going to dinner, or I’m running errands, getting on a plane, or need to look cool in NYC…these pieces have become my my go-to.
Their pieces are timeless and classic, yet still somehow so effortlessly cool. The quality of their product is also amazing, so since you don’t have to worry about these pieces ever going out of style…you know they will last you forever.
What I really love about this brand though is the second part of their tagline: “radical transparency“. Everlane puts so much value in knowing their factories where their clothes are made. They spend months finding the best ones, and then they visit them often to ensure the factory’s integrity. Everlane is also transparent about their costs, and let their customers know exactly what they are paying for! They show you what their costs are for producing the product, and then what the markup is. From their website: “In traditional retail a designer shirt is marked up 8x by the time it reaches the customer. By being online only, we eliminate brick-and-mortar expenses and pass these savings on to you.” I’m all about this!
So, if you haven’t checked out Everlane before…be prepared to fall in love, and find the next website where a good chunk of your paycheck will go to. I have totally fallen in love with this brand and hope you do as well!
